Sheikh Omar threatens the Pakistani authorities of reprisals
Monday July 15, 2002 - 7h32 GMT
HYDERABAD (Pakistan), 15 juil (AFP) - the militant islamist Sheikh Omar condemned to dead Monday by a court with Hyderabad (southern) threatened the Pakistani authorities of reprisals "to have arranged" the sentence pronounced against him for removal in January, then the assassination, of the American journalist Daniel Pearl, in a message read by his lawyer.
"We will see who will die in first, me or the authorities which arranged my death sentence", he wrote in a message read by Me Spoke Bashir in front of the journalists outside the prison of high safety where the judgement was given in camera, by a court antiterrorist.
"the war between Islam and Kafirs (those which are not Moslem, note) continuous and each one should show if it is in favour of Islam or of Kafirs", added Sheikh Omar.
This militant islamist 29 year old having the Pakistani and British dual nationality, born in Great Britain where it grew and studied, violently anti-American, is regarded as the brain of removal on January 23 in Karachi, the harbour metropolis of the south of Pakistan, of Daniel Pearl, corresponding in South Asia of Wall Street Journal.
The authorities, fearing reactions of violence of the islamists mediums, had placed for Sunday the prison and the town of Hyderabad in maximum alarm.

Somebody should tell this Sheikh Omar that the Pakistani legal system is 'for' justice here, which is more important than his foolish religious bigotry.

Pearl killer vows retaliation
15jul02
HYDERABAD, Pakistan: British-born Islamic militant Sheikh Omar threatened retaliation against Pakistani authorities for "arranging" the death sentence awarded against him for kidnapping and murdering Daniel Pearl.
"We shall see who will die first, either I or the authorities who have arranged the death sentence for me," Omar said in a message read out by his lawyer Rai Bashir to reporters outside the high-security prison where the verdict was delivered.
"The war between Islam and Kafirs (non-Muslims) is going on and everybody should show whether he is in favour of Islam or in favour of Kafirs."
A Pakistani anti-terrorism court, sitting inside the prison, found Omar and three accomplices guilty of murdering and abducting the Wall Street Journal correspondent earlier this year.
Fahad Nasim, Salman Squib and Sheikh Adil were given life imprisonment.
Lawyers have vowed to appeal against the verdicts.

The difference between the West and the Islamic World.
When people get their due rewards, they don't promise that their agents will kill the judge that sentanced them. We don't broach such lawlessness in OUR country, yet that seems to be business as usual in these places.
I swear I am going to kick the next touchy-feely liberal who tells me "All cultures have equal merit" right square in the crotch and say "Then send your daughter to Saudi Arabia!"

Something we are all going to have to learn to do one day.
Look at the site
Learning to tie a noose. This is how we should deal with terrorists who kill innocent civilians!

ADVICE TO PAKISTAN>>>
Execute this arrogant twerp ASAP and you'll have a lot less trouble. But what more likely will happen will be a long drawn out drama and *maybe* some hostage taking by Pakistani Jihadis to trade for this sack of excrement.

...........threatened the Pakistani authorities of reprisals........... Makes you wonder who is in charge of this s&%thole of a country. Wouldn't this be equivalent of some pastor, priest or rabbi threatening Bush for not towing-the-religious-line?

is regarded as the brain of removal Yeah, he sounds like somebody removed his brain, all right.

In the US, would that attorney not be brought up on charges of terroristic threatening, among many other charges for passing on the threats?
So Pakistan needs to put the lawyer in the same firing squad backstop/beheading/whatever method they use over there....

Hang on, hold tight - there'll be a flood of endorsements coming from the mullahs and moderates muslims from all over, supporting this sentence... any minute now ...
