Satan is an American
Richard Martineau
(Translated from the original French by NorthernRight)
You probably didnt even see it. It was small note published in the newspapers, just this past July 2nd. An Agence- France-Press dispatch concerning an odd event which occurred last month in Pakistan.
The title: "Raped to punish her brother".
In a small village of Panjab, a member of the Gujjar tribe had sexual relations with a woman of the Mastoi tribe. However, in this area of the globe, that is quite simply not done. Mastoi, you see, belong to the higher class, and it is strictly forbidden to have "illicit sexual relations" with a woman of a higher social status.
Revolted by this odious crime, the inhabitants of the village thus dragged the unhappy boy in front of a tribal court, which declared him guilty. In order to punish the offender, it was decided to rape his 18 year old sister.
The girl was thus delivered to four men of the Mastoi tribe, who abused her in turn. The poor girl did not have any choice: if she did not obey the decision of the "court", then all the women of the boys family would be raped. When the four men fulfilled their base needs, the girl returned home completely naked, in front of a crowd of a thousand of people.
You read that right.
That didnt take place in 1510, but in June 2002, in a country which is also a nuclear power.
I read this dispatch, and I said myself: "This will definitely cause some reactions. People will organize demonstrations, theyll circulate petitions on Internet, anything. After all, when Southern thugs decided to lynch Blacks, in the 50s-60s, in Alabama, the world was indignant, the progressive groups rushed the barricades and denounced these cruel acts... "
But no, nothing. Not a word.
And then I remembered: the demonstrations, theyre only for demonstrating against the United States.
Didnt you see the demonstrations in front of the Saudi Arabian Embassy, to denounce the subjugation of their women? No? Or the anarchists to burning effigies of Vladimir Poutine? No?
No, never.
The always the same target: the States and George Bush. As if only our neighbors to the south (or Israel) who violated human rights.
Organize a demonstration intended to criticize the American government, and you will fill ten busses easily. But try to organize an event denouncing the intrigues of China, Iraq or Burundi, and youll be lucky if you find enough people to fill your Austin-Mini.
Take Cuba, for example. Over the years, the Castro regime locked up and tortured the Gays, who it regarded as degenerate and traitors to the fatherland. For Fidel, homosexuality is a middle-class perversion. Even today, it is still forbidden to display ones homosexuality in Cuba, under penalty of fine or of arrest. However, have you ever seen a leftist group demonstrate in front of the Cuban Embassy? Not even once. Whereas each year, one finds organized demonstrations, affinity tours or conferences intended to denounce the American embargo against Cuba...
I do not say that the United States is pure like the driven snow. But this propensity to associate evil to only one single country is grotesque and ridiculous.
You know why the demonstrations against G8, NAFTA or globalization is so popular? Because they aim at only one single target: the United States. Organize a demonstration denouncing the genocide in Chechnya, by the Russians and all youll hear is the chirping of crickets. What, shout slogans about Russia? It is just not in. Whereas to loudly display contempt against George W and the big tycoons of Wall Street, well, it is just so much more cool.
One gets the impression that our anarchistic militants were conditioned by Doctor Ivan Petrovitch Pavlov, (Nobel Prize in medicine in 1904). You wave a Chinese flag, and they dont twitch. But you leave the end an American flag hanging out of your drawer, and they start to bark.
Unfortunately, this is not "progressive thinking".
It is a conditioned reflex.
I know where he lives-just look for the chalk outline of Buddy the dog- then turn right.
You mean "Bill's-a-Bubba".
I think his cousin lives across the street from me. M.E. Phisto. Owns "Satan Bros. Septic Service". Always parkin' his dang sucker truck in front of my house.
Indoctrination by punishment and reward conditioning. Vote school choice canidates.
OK, so that's the French spelling.
But isn't "poutine" Fench fries with cheese and gravy up there?
Haha...excellent. Yes, what's really hilarious is the leftist icons Jimmy Carter and Nader joining the Castro love-fest. How can anyone who knows what the Castros have been responsible for even consider supporting their regime?
