Time to March on Washington

It is time that we march on Washington!!!! We need to gather as we did in Oct. 1998 for the March For Justice, where thousands of us gathered at the Washington Monument. Why? to demand an accounting from the Congress and the Senate on the monies (our Taxes) that they are spending. We are the shareholders of this country. There are salaries being paid to people in Washington who are not contributing to the upholding of our Constitution. Money is being spent without the "Shareholders Aproval" It is time we demanded to know where our money goes, how it is spent and have it accounted for. The hypocracy of those who sit in Washington talking about how business owners should know where every penny in their company is going when the General Accounting Office tells us that Billions and Trillions of our dollars are unaccounted for!! Where is their reports, where is their accountablity? Doesn't Dashell Owe us an explaination of where our funds have gone. I want a written report to the penny. I want to know where the over 2000 computers the IRS has lost, are! I want to know who is responsible for losing them? I want Him/Her held accountable!! I'm tired of the mythical "Them" always being the ones responsible for mispending our MONEY We will not get an accounting until we stand on the Capitol Steps and Demand that they answer our questions! We need to hold the press responsible for failing to report to the people how our money is spent. Unless we march we will never have this information given to us. You see, they think that we are to simple to understand, not able to get the big picture. Yet, they send our money all over the world, to give to people who hate us, and in addition, they rise our taxes to meet these demands. It's time we ask for an accounting, just like they are asking for an accounting from American Business. If you think it is just the big guys, well, think again! Dashell and his group will use this as an excuse to put more regulations on ALL business, and they will enforce it the hardest on the small business owner. Why, because it is easier to control several LARGE BUSINESES who have contracts with the Government, that to deal with hundreds of small business. Let's keep this thread going, let's put this together, let's march on Washington, and demand answers!

I agree that this a major issue that is perfect for a grass roots campaign, although I think a march is premature.

I think it first needs to be brought to the public's attention in other ways, and I hope this will be topic for discussion at FRiva Las Vegas.

A related issue to this is the scandal of our elected representatives in Congress voting on huge legislative "Omnibus" bills that they never read, with the result that vote on laws without even knowing about them.

I would rather start a drive to abolish the 16th amendment.

I'm sure they would be willing to form a $50 million a year panel to study the issue.

Want to "March on Washington"? Then start coordinating it.

A word of caution... even the most organized, well-publicized demonstrations with a clear focus require that "online warriors" shut off the computer and get their butts out to vocally support the cause.

The DC Chapter organized an excellent Patriot's Rally for America on the Mall on April 20th of this year to show support for our troops and demonstrate against America haters. This was publicized on FR about 2 months in advance, there were press conferences, they spent a ton of their personal money, and they booked excellent speakers (Bob Dornan, Niger Innis, Joseph Farah, etc).

You know what... hardly anyone came! It was a shame. Every Freeper within a day's drive should have been there. It certainly wasn't a secret, and it certainly wasn't a questionable cause.

I don't mean to attack you or anyone in particular, I just think that talk is cheap, and if you want to make a difference, don't just talk about a rally, do it. Set a date. Publicize it. Actually get the ball rolling.

No Offense taken, but as I would say to you , Talk's cheap but it cost money to ride the train. I can coordinate, I just need people to help and yes get off their butts, and not just give me advice.

Harvey Gross has written a book on Gov waste and as far as I know, continues to follow this issue. He'd make a great key note speaker. Include the abolishment the 16th amendment in the battle cry to march and the turnout may be more than "them" in DC can ignore.
