You'd think, in addition to this being just tacky, that the AIDS crisis and STD epidemic would have wised people up. The new circus sex culture ( a la Howard Stern and Co.) is just another one of those end-of-empire signs of decadence. Like the silicon in Pamela Anderson's chest.
Seriously though, quite sad if you ask me. I think some day they will be ashamed and regret what they're doing.
Did you notice that the couple who were interviewed were both youngish Russians? Remember that until the last decade, churches were virtually outlawed in Russia. Remeber when we used to say special prayers for the Russians at the end of every Mass. Perhaps we need to start doing that again.
Many of us have been saying this for a long time now. We have to be careful, though. Falwell and others said that God has withdrawn His protection from this nation because of what we are doing. Remember how many people nearly fainted and got really, really mad. These people don't want to think they are responsible for what happens to them. Personally, I think this nation is coming up for a real bruising, and it will be because of what we are doing.

I'm reminded of something Dr. J. Vernon McGee said in one of his Thru The Bible radio program lessons: "The so-called 'new morality' is nothing other than 'old sin.'"
TTB is a terrific program if you haven't heard of it, btw...
I don't think we need to go that far back for a precedent. This whole spousal swap-meet culture suggests the French court in the eighteenth century, portrayed well in les Liaisons Dangereuses. The political question is this: will the decadence of our ruling class precede a violent backlash? It certainly did in France, and later in Weimar Germany.
