South Dakota's Tim Johnson is widely considered the most endangered Senate Democrat. His generally liberal voting record is a tough sell in a conservative state that George W. Bush won easily in 2000. But Democrats and their interest-group allies think they've found a way to keep Johnson afloat: a big, green life preserver.

Now, Thune is airing response ads saying that he, too, supports stricter arsenic standards.

Then this guy is a loser.
The whole "issue" was a Democrat setup from the beginning when Scumbag issued an Executive Order on the last day of his Presidency. Prior to that, the "delays" were supported by Dasshole and many other scumbags in the Senate. If Thune doesn't respond strongly and then launch a counteroffensive which exposes, with 'edge-of-the-truth' venom, Johnson's liberal voting record, then he deserves to lose.

Republicans have got to understand sooner or later that sometimes they need to swim down, down, way down to the bottom of the sewer and fight the Democrats where they live. This is war, and the Republicans had better join the battle, keeping in mind always that the precedent was set long ago by the scumbags - - there are no rules..

"To the degree [Democrats] can generate emotion and fear ...
Be afraid, be very afraid ... the Republicans will kill you kids ... they'll dump truck loads of arsenic in your drinking water ...

A June 19-23 Pew Research Center survey found that independents and highly educated voters disapprove of Bush's environmental record.

I would like to know what standard they used to define "highly educated" voters and whether they did anything to confirm those claims. There is nothing wrong with President Bush's environmental record. I realize that some highly educated but highly partisan liberals will attack his record because they will take any excuse to attack him. However, I think the average educated, thinking person would recognize that his policies have been mostly sound.

Since when is the Green Goblin a new strategy, this has been used since 1995. Idiot Republicans always cave in instead of using fear like saying the Dems will take away your car and property. KLAMATH FALLS
