The next person that screams about how horrible and institutionalized racism is in America I'm buying them a ticket to Euorope or Asia so they can see for themselves what institutionalized racism is all about.
We have badly undermaintained streets, a Board of Elections that still doesn't have accurate word boundaries for the September primary election, a DMV in meltdown, and a police department in serious need of good management.
We have the best mediocre mayor of our short political history in Tony Williams. He is better than Sharon Pratt Kelly. He's better than Barry was in his second two terms, but far worse thatn Barry did in his first years. At least during that time Barry attracted a number (not all) of really good Department level managers. Williams has done zilch there.
We're treading water, but the Washington Post can't report it because of its unquetioning support for Williams in the past. The Wahington Times is the major voice pointing out that the emperor is not fully clothed. We are all so politically correct.
So if you're outside of DC, this statehood stuff is nonsense and we all know it here. It's just un-PC to say so.
I wonder if Mr. Hamaz (who apparently harbors a great hatred for "the west") realizes that it's that same evil west that developed the tech. that allows him to have his business?
This may be evidence of racism, but not of knee-jerk racism: Only 43 percent of Frenchmen say the same of blacks, only 21 percent of Asians, and only 19 percent of Jews. Are you kidding me? 43% of Frenchmen (which includes, I assume, all the minority groups listed) think there are too many blacks, and this is not evidence of massive knee-jerk racism by the French?
Could you imagine a poll taken in the US that said that 43% of all Americans think there are too many blacks? The press would have a conniption.
It looks to me like there are entirely too many dumbass Frenchmen in France.
The Mosquee de Paris is completely against the Saudi Taliban. They are even starting classes to make female imams.
Yes, the Algerians have taken over the city - but that's not a bad thing. One cannot tell the difference between a real Frenchwoman and an Algerian/Frenchwoman. Even the Algerian street vendors speak beautiful French.
The good thing about France is that they keep their underclasses OUT of the cities.
France has allowed the enemy within the gates in huge numbers and they cannot/will not be assimilated into the French Republic, mostly because of their Islamic religion.
France now must make a painful choice whether she wants to be eventulally ruled (probably within a generation) by these people under Sharia Law or take the unpleasant steps required, i.e. deportation of these unassimilables back to wherever they came from. Obviously, most of these people still consider themselves non-Frenchmen as the majority wish to be sent "home" for burial and distain French culture and values. The alternatives for the French are rapidly becoming either eventual bloody civil war or becoming an oppressed people in their own land, living in an Islamic State which then will impose it's values forceably on native Frenchmen.
The French are not the first ones to face this hobbesian choice. The world is full of countries who faced this test and failed. Perhaps France has already reached the tip-over point where they can't recover themselves back to a pre-Islamic society. If so, blood will probably run in the street much thicker than during the worst days of the French Revolution. Either way it is apt to be very bloody.
America faces the same choice France does. But, because of the earlier massive migration of Muslims into France than America, we can see the awful results on a western culture, instead of an African or Asian one. Will we heed the lessons and take the necessary steps to prevent a civil/religious melt down as the French now face or will we look the other way like the others? Given our own propensity of Political Correctness and our ubiquitous political Liberalism, it is highly problematic even at this early stage. Taking action won't get easier as time goes on. One can look at the systemic breakdown in our immigration policies to see the seeds of American destruction have taken wide and strong root. So far, we haven't seen fit to start enforcing our own lax laws and even the head of the INS says we shouldn't!
Once a country is under Muslim rule, there is no turning back short of force of arms. History has already proven that over and over again. Additionally, the arms usually have to come from "outside" as the population is trapped in this demonic straight-jacket of religion/law/culture/brutality.
This Islamic threat to us is as large as Communism was. We better take it as seriously. Unlike the French, we still can stop it before it gets completely out of hand and smothers us in a millenium of tyranny. For France - and perhaps other effete cultures in Europe - it may already be too late.
You can tell how holy they are by how they treat women.
This little fact is very revealing IMHO. Welfare programs that place no responsibility on the recipients just subsidize self-indulgent behavior. The Western world needs to enforce its own laws on immigrants--such as no more than 1 wife, no enforced marriages of minor girls, etc. The entitlement faucet may serve politicians well in the voting booth but they undermine the societal structure by creating a permanent underclass with children who grow up angry and violent. Welfare reform and tough law enforcement measures like Guiliani's in NYC will reduce welfare fraud and abuse. The multicultural crap about respecting everyone's diverse lifestyles needs to be replaced with a civil ethic of personal responsibility and hard work if the Western world wishes to retain its civilized character.
Time passed, and I was there in the mid-ninties. Had things ever changed!! There were many more Algerians, and the women were no longer seen. A good number of the men had become gang members and/or islamist extemists, and they were blowing up the metros in Paris and carrying out other assorted acts of terror. I really resented what had happened there. My mother still lives there, but she lives in a small town in the Loire valley where there are no Arabs, but towns such as Marseilles and Lille with their large Arab populations have terrible crime rates. It's like throwing in a bunch of pit bulls into a house full of poodles. When will people ever learn. You can't turn a sow's ear into a silk purse, no matter how hard you try.
