Here's Mrs. Huck two weeks ago:
No matter what else I do in my life, nothing will ever top marrying this one. Nothing could even come close. If I found the cure for cancer it'd be the second smartest thing I ever did.

I thought the same thing when I first tuned in, although there seems to be more people there than there were earlier.
Bless those people who showed up. Didn't let the Arab blowhards keep them away. In fact, I'm thinking of attending next year. I always take this week off.

Thank you. Does this mean that, when I go into a restaurant, they'll make me pay first?

LOL - I prefer sweats, too. But it's was in the upper 90's today (NY), and it has hasn't cooled down much.
BTW - have you ever tried to by cotton briefs that actually breathed in the former Soviet Union? I have - and you must go black market (and try sneaking them out of the country!)

Knew you could handle it.
BTW, I'm across the Hudson from you. It was 98 by my thermomoter. 102 yesterday.

Went on an Italian kick this year and made two huge pots of spagetti sauce with meatballs. Had about 10 people over for dinner then watched the kids blow off a ton of fireworks, smoked out our end of the neighborhood.
After the fireworks, the kids grabbed a flag, got a snare drum and a flue and marched around the block shouting "Down with King George!" and "America Rocks!". The last I saw of them they took off in a car to do the same thing in other neighborhoods.

I'm watching Yankee Doodle Dandy, one of my favorite movies! Last night I watched a movie EXECUTIVE DECISION, starring Kurt Russell and Halle Berry. In this movie, filmed in 1996, Islamic fanatics hijack a 747 and head for Washington, D.C. intending to use the plane as a WMD against the city.
Of course, in the movie, the good guys win, take over the plane and land it safely, and the passengers are saved.
It was very scary to see how close this movie matched the events of 9-11. There was also a very silly part in which the good guys lose communications, and in order to signal the F-14's that are about to shoot them down, use the aircraft's tail lights to send a message in Morse code. Of course now we know they could have just used their cell phones.
In this movie, Hollywood was not afraid to make the bad guys what they are IRL: Islamic fanatics.

We went to the beach, our whole family is here in OC NJ,we took our beach chairs with an 8 week old ,twins,a 3 year old a few teens and adults, the beach was crowded.Everyone shoots off fireworks right there and to the left you see OC and Atantic City and to the right is Sea Isle but the biggest show is right in front of you. There were fireworks everywhere and much more than I have even seen.At the end we all sang God bless America and on the way back someone was playing the bagpipes playing God bless America.I started to cry seeing the man on the porch playing the bagpipes.A large crowd was around him.We are back but the teens are going back to listen to the bag pipes.

But you're here with us!
Yes, the glass is more than half-full...I can at least check in here when the
blasted, aged laser printer is content to just keep working during a large job.
Happy Fourth to you and all!
