Group goes door-to-door for gay rights

COVINGTON Members of Northern Kentucky's leading gay rights group say they intend to knock on every door in Covington to seek support of proposed anti-discrimination legislation.
Members of the Northern Kentucky Fairness Alliance visited about 200 homes Sunday, said Charles D. King, a Covington resident and a member of the alliance's steering committee. By the end of summer, alliance members hope to visit every house in Northern Kentucky's largest city.
So far the response has been overwhelmingly positive, Mr. King said.
The group hopes Covington will follow the lead of Lexington and Louisville by incorporating legal protections for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people into its human rights ordinance.
Covington now prohibits discrimination in employment, housing or public accommodations based on race, sex, religion or disability.
Besides protecting gays and lesbians from harassment, supporters say an expanded human rights ordinance would help city businesses attract conventions.
In 1993, Cincinnati voters repealed an ordinance that included legal protection for gays and lesbians. The city now has a charter amendment that bars it from providing preferential treatment to gays, lesbians and bisexuals.
The Rev. Don Smith, who leads Covington's human rights commission, said the group hopes to draft an expanded ordinance and add penalties. He expects to present it to Covington City Commission by the end of the year.
Mr. King said the door-to-door campaign will continue on evenings and weekends.

They have to go door -to-door to look for little boys now that their priest scam has been shut down.

What a shame! I live in Maryland. I wish these fecal rights advocates would knock on my door. . . (they'd only knock once.) What a great opportunity for public debate. We'd go right out onto the front lawn while my wife would be inside calling neighbors.
Any time one of these fecal rights advocates want a public debate, please post a reply. There is nothing more entertaining to me than pointing out the flawed, psycopathic agenda of this predatory, violent sub-culture.

I pity the fool who knocks on my door spreading propoganda for special homo civil rights. I live in a condo complex that has a big sign on the front gate saying "Private Property" and "No Solicitors". I've run off many missionaries, salesmen, and other undesireables. I don't care if these people want to hand out pamphlets at the mall and write articles in the local paper. But nothing makes me crazier than when they show up on my doorstep.
If people feel the need to sell their civil rights or religion or whatever, then fine. But selling it door-to-door is a pretty sleazy way to do it.

You'd think they'd come to the backdoor. <|:)~

Just like the 9th circuit court, this is a good thing. The rats have ventured too far out of their holes. They are out in the open, obvious, and in peril. The liberal agenda is one hand that has been way overplayed. They can't put it back in the box now. Doomed agenda's. Decietful representatives.
A lot of the generation supporting these loonies in the past has grown up finally. The next one in line has no time for the silliness.

This gives me an inspiration. How's this for a "door warning sign"?
Soliciters, Salesmen and Sodomites will be shot.
No second warning.
Knock if you have any questions.

Keep a glass of water with a little lemon juice in it by each outside door. When one of these sociopaths knocks, open door, toss water in face, close door. Message delivered.

If they were smart, they'd bring some of those Kentucky
cigarettes with 'em. Hell, it was done down in FL to buy votes.

If they came to my house, I promise that the response would NOT be so postive.

I always liked the one featuring a .357 Magnum that said "If You Are Found Here Tonight You Will Be Found Here Tomorrow"
