Thirteen killed in Algeria bus attack
Over 100 people have been killed this month
Reports from Algeria say that 13 people have been killed in an attack on a bus in a suburb of the capital, Algiers. The state news agency APS quoted security sources as saying nine other passengers were injured when five suspected Islamic militants opened fire with machine guns in the suburb of Eucalyptus.
Eucalyptus is located near the airport in the Mitidja agricultural region, several kilometres from the capital.
Correspondents say militants of the Armed Islamic Group frequently operate in the area.
Waging war
The extremist group has been waging a war against Algeria's secular government since 1992.
The violence began when the authorities cancelled a parliamentary election which radical Islamists were poised to win.
More than 100,000 people have lost their lives in attackssince then.
At least 107 people have been killed this month, and more than 100 wounded, according to official and press figures.
Around 730 have been killed since the start of the year.

Where are those European "peace activists" when you really need them to make sure no Muslims are killed? Where is Kofi Annan's stinking UN to condemn this terrible massacre of Muslims??

You'll hear from them as soon as they find a way to blame this on Israel.

The extremist group has been waging a war against Algeria's secular government since 1992. I wonder how soon we'll read of this kind of thing in Turkey which also has a secular government to justify this kind of act to the Muslims.

You'll hear from them as soon as they find a way to blame this on Israel. Just like the trouble the Muslims are giving the Hindus. It's not about Israel at all.

Yes, we forget about this jihad. Just like in Kashmir, they kill their own brethren when they aren't sufficiently Muslim enough.
Algeria is something we should hear about more often. The govt has been combatting this menace there for over a decade.
How anyone thinks rationality, logic and the normal discourse of human interaction will ever be sufficient enough to deal with this scum is beyond me.

Amen SwarthyGuy .... gee we're agreeing on maor and more....now find a way to get the Dept of Education to stop demanding the schools give the illegals ( often multi-millionnaires, I'll explain later) $32,000 per kid per year to pay for their school here in The U.S. which we pay for with taxes and tuition. I'm sick of the freeloading by our own agencies in order to get a bigger budget and a bigger salary.

Killing their "own", you say? The Wahabbis have probably killed more Muslims in the last two decades than the Israelis did in 54 years.
