Gores Buy a New Base in Tennessee
New York Times ^ | 6/29/02 | NY Times

Nearly two years after he lost his home state, Tennessee, in the 2000 presidential race, Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, have bought a new $2.3 million home just outside Nashville in Belle Meade, his associates said yesterday.

The purchase is the latest indication that Mr. Gore is preparing to run again for president in 2004.

Mr. Gore, a former senator from Tennessee, described the loss of his home state to President Bush as one of the more embarrassing aspects of his defeat in 2000. Mr. Gore later acknowledged that he had neglected Tennessee while living in Washington during his years as vice president under Bill Clinton, and said he would use the period before the next presidential election to mend fences.

The Gores closed on their new home on June 17 and intend to begin living there full time in the fall. An associate said they would keep the family farm in Carthage, Tenn., as well as a home in Arlington, Va., at least for the time being.

Do you think Al Gore might be dreaming a little

When do you think Al-&-Tipper will have a flag pole mounted on the roof and a fountain installed in the front yard?

LOL, We should start calling Al Gore "MINI HE"

Gore lost Tennessee because he became a pathetic liberal. Tennessee is a nice conservative place with outdoorsman, hunters and fisherman. Real people with real values and wants and needs. Gore is a mythic comedy figure who lives in a dream world of his own making. There is nothing real about albertgore. Algore has no real feelings nor any original thoughts. He is a pathetic loser.

go Florida beat Tennessee.

Having thumbed his nose at the Volunteer State for the eight years he was VP and for most of his adult life; what’s he gonna be this time around? Still a whacko in the environmentalism department; the staunch defender of the United Nations and complete globalism? Will he be the race monger and the class warfare democrat as always? Or will this be an entirely new Al, one who will not use his ”evil lies coiled in the human soul”i.e. opposing racial preferences can lead to genocide. or change his views on the Second Amendment just for votes?

Americans as far as Al Gore is concerned, can rot! He is for Al first and special interest second. Can you imagine his A.G. or his socialized cabinet? The teachers unions will welcome him with open arms as will anyone who doesn’t want to work, just let the government take care of you cradle to grave. Will he give up his oil stock? And remember six years after his sisters death from lung cancer, he was still taking campaign contributions from the tobacco industry. Got any Monks up you sleeves Al?

What a sad little man Al Gore is, certainly not presidential material but just what you would expect from the DNC...surely they can come up with a more worthy candidate than this chewed over piece of ______!

I see. It's not a big fat ostentatious rich-guy type mansion, the kind that might be purchased by, say, some random republican.

No. It's a new base of operations. Much higher purpose. don't ya know. LOL.

I heard just yesterday that Tipper (giggle and move your head side to side while saying "Tipper") Gore was railing on about "how many people there are in the Bush administration that just seem out to make a lot of money".

Stop laughing. She really said it.

I found myself yelling at the TV...........something about "oh yeah, you drooling bimbo??? wanna talk about all the creeps in YOUR husband's administration that cashed in big-time.........including YOUR husband and his rapist boss??????? not to mention the rapist's wife??????"

She says this as she closes on a $2.3 million house, folks. They know no shame.

Oh yeah. Algore, man of the people. The big farm in Carthage, complete with zinc mind and sludge pit, paid for by that loveable old commie Armand Hammer and occidental Petroleum. Then a separate house in Arlington, VA, not exactly the cheapest place to live in that state.

And now a 2.3 million dollar mansion in Belle Meade, THE most affluent community in Tennessee and one of the most affluent in the country.

C'mon, Al, tell us more about all those eeeeeeeeeevul rich people.

He dumps 2.3 mil into a house when he could use that loot to campaign with? Al and Tip better plan for retirement...
