Fox News Channel a few minute ago had an interview with Lee Greenwood regarding the Pledge of Allegiance controversial rulling of the 9th Circuit court. Lee said he had just finished writing a song, and offered to sing it. It was of course the Pledge of Allegiance. A beautifull song, that only Lee can sing. It made a few tears in my eyes, and I don't cry easily.

Wanna bet PBS and Peter Jennings "ban" him from singing it (ala Charlie Daniels and Toby Keith)?

I agree, these liberal vampires fears God as much as the sunlight of truth.

Petition to the President of the United States and Members of Congress
I speak as an American citizen. The recent decision of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco where the Pledge of Allegiance was ruled Unconstitutional is an attack on America by way of the legal system. We are indeed "One Nation Under God." To declare that anyone who pledges allegiance to the Flag of our Country is breaking the law is to declare the President of the United States and every member of Congress to be law breakers.
It has become abundantly clear that the two judges that voted for this must be impeached and removed from office. Please use the authority that you have been invested with and immediately vote to impeach judges Stephen Reinhardt and Alfred Goodwin.

There are, I understand, a number of different musical settings for the Pledge. I remember one that I played for a high school Air Force ROTC choir in the 1975-76 time frame. The sergeant in charge of the program gave me a copy of an orchestral arrangement and, with that in front of me, I worked out a reduction for piano. I have ever since wondered who wrote that one. Maybe I'll play it into a MIDI file and upload it to one of the canteens so someone might be able to identify the composer.

Please continue your research on the Pledge of Allegiance songs, and post it. It is timely.

Exactly. The closer they're dragged to the light of truth, the more they'll snarl.

"Twister"- FM in Oklahoma City, KTST, the "Crash & Burns Show", is putting together a shipment of boots:
They're sending them to Peter Jennings! and they're going to tell him exactly where to put them!
Anybody have an old pair of boots to spare?

I saw him on FOX....I wondered this morning how long it would take before Lee Greenwood had his say.

Actually, Lee Greenwood's musical rendition of the Pledge is not "new". It was included on his American Patriot's CD back in the mid 1990's.
It is the very first song on the CD full of patriotic songs (I've almost worn out my copy!!!). CD sales increased dramtically after 9/11.
If you don't have a copy, I strongly recommend it...it's a good one!

Thanks, beautiful photos.

Oh my. I hate Lee Greenwood- his song God Bless the USA is fine- but anyone that can write a song in 24 hours---hmmm I doubt how good it is. Example: Paul McCartney's turd he wrote after 9/11. I LOVE Sir Paul- but that song was crap.
Hmm.. Maybe I need some coffee this afternoon. ;-D
