Spanier Administration Evangelizes
For Deviant Sex At Penn State
By Rev. Louis P. Sheldon
Chairman, Traditional Values Coalition
Washington, DC The Penn State administration of President Graham Spanier is continuing a crusade in support of sexually deviant behavior.
The Spanier administrations most recent outrage has been its tepid response to the appearance of Patrick Califa Rice at a radical feminist health fair on campus this past March. Rice is a female-to-male transgender who has written approvingly of adult/child sex and has been a vocal supporter of the North American Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA). Rice was invited to the campus by Womyns Concerns to discuss her sex change operation. While administrative spokesman Bill Mahon expressed regret that Rice had been invited to PSU by the campus group, Spaniers administration did nothing to prevent Rices presentation despite prior knowledge of Rices views. The administration sought to defuse public criticism by requiring attendees at Rices presentation to show campus identification and proof of minimum age (18).
Rice is author of Doing it for Daddy: Short and Sexy Fiction about a Very Forbidden Fantasy, about incest. The feminist conference also included guest speaker Leslie Feinberg, a self-proclaimed Marxist revolutionary and female-to-male transgender who considers sex change operations to be part of class warfare against a capitalist and male-dominated society.
Spaniers unwillingness to speak out against the promotion of sexual deviancy on campus is part of a consistent pattern of advocacy for non-traditional sexual behaviors. The most aggressive administrative support for deviant sex at Penn State has come through the Office of the Vice Provost for Educational Equity. The Spanier administration has been publicly supportive of annual Gay Pride activities on the Penn State University Park campus, and the Penn State Intercom publication has been regularly used as a promotional tool for homosexual gatherings since Spanier assumed the leadership role at Penn State. The administration has funded staff and expanded facilities for homosexual student/faculty resources.
Spanier, who holds a doctorate in sociology from Northwestern University, did his thesis on wife swapping in the 1970s and wrote on this topic for the Journal of Sex Research in February, 1974. In his article, Co-marital mate-sharing and family stability, he wrote,
the evidence available to date offers no evidence to suggest that mate-swapping is harmful to marital or family stability.
In his 1975 article, Mate Swapping: Perceptions, Value Orientations, and Participation in a Midwestern Community, for Archives of Sexual Behavior, Spanier wrote: An individuals behavior becomes deviant only when others define it as deviant
. Mate swapping, then, can be viewed as either deviant or normal behavior, depending on who is viewing it and from what perspective it is being viewed.
In the February, 1989 edition of Journal of Marriage and Family, Spanier expressed what some see as a clue to his Penn State policy agenda when he wrote that:
we should be skeptical about any intellectual conviction about the superiority of the intact nuclear family.
Dr. Spaniers promotion of deviant sex was in evident in the early 1990s during his tenure as Chancellor of the University of Nebraska, where he aggressively lobbied for policies supportive of homosexuality. In one instance, he threatened to remove academic credit for ROTC classes unless Nebraska Senator Jim Exon lobbied the Defense Department to eliminate the ban on homosexuals serving in the military. Spaniers Affirmative Action office distributed pink triangle decals to faculty and staffwith a request that these decals be displayed to indicate that homosexuals would have safe spaces on campus.
At Penn State, Dr. Spanier has permitted various bizarre sex fairs on campus, including the C--- Fest in November, 2000, named after a vulgar term for female sex organs. This was followed by the Sex Faire in February, 2001. This university-sanctioned event included Orgasm Bingo, where participants played Bingo with sexual obscenities written on bingo cards. Pennsylvania Representative John Lawless drew public attention to the indecent campus activities, and public pressure forced the administration to close down a Tent of Consent planned for the Sex Faire that was intended to provide a space for couples or groups to engage in consensual sexual activity.
Graham Spaniers public history offers a clear pattern of promotion for sexual perversion. It is our view, judging from Dr. Spaniers previous comments on wife-swapping, that he would likely conclude that individuals like Feinberg and Rice are perfectly normal and appropriate role models for Penn State students. After all, in Dr. Spaniers world, deviancy is simply a matter of ones perspective. Would he say the same thing about incest or adult/child sex? After all, some pedophiles consider themselves normal and merely victims of an intolerant society.
Dr. Spanier is an embarrassment to higher education and to the state of Pennsylvania. He should be viewed with alarm by parents who send their young men and women to this university system. Spaniers strange views on sexual matters should be further investigated by the Pennsylvania state legislatureand for the safety of the students who attend Penn State, the Board of Trustees should promptly remove him from office.

the Case of the Freeper FRiva Feva is under scrutiny - super-sleuths are welcomed
come resolve the way to yesterday's Target Post, you're not out of the running yet
win your registration fees to the FRive Las Vegas Conference if you dare
LOL. Sounds like libertarian heaven.
You're paying for people to speak at Penn State who promote molesting your kids. She/he/it belongs with Father Shanley of the Catholic Church - locked away.
Is he doing it because the priest spoke out? It's unclear to me just what the situation you're describing is.
I guess I will have to offer my "perspective" to Spanier: I find it ok to put a bullet in your head. Just let me know when I can do that, then maybe (just maybe) I will buy your argument.
OMG! Is that true? I actually liked that guy.
Look at how slippery the part in bold is. Let me paraphrase:
Studies haven't been done establishing this to be true, so one is tacitly encouraged to believe it is false.
Scumbag.
I had read the article, but didn't notice this linguistic monstrosity until you quoted it. My own feeling is that grammatical and syntactic oddities generally indicate that something else weird is going on.
It was the single most disturbing image I've ever seen.
What's the matter? Jopa's craggy face doesn't scream fecundity and fertility to you? LOL
Believe me, he is. And Penn State and universities like it are coming to be viewed with alarm as well.
Suggesting it, however, has been known to be associated with health hazards. Severe health hazards, involving ballbats, buckshot...
