NEW YORK (AP) -- Tatum O'Neal says ex-husband John McEnroe took steroids while he was on the pro tennis tour, and used cocaine and marijuana -- but only off the court.
O'Neal spoke about McEnroe on ABC's "20/20," which will be broadcast Friday, in response to his new autobiography, You Cannot Be Serious.

Tatum is full of it. McEnroe had hardly any muscle on him. In his "hey day" they didn't have all of the various types of performance-enhancing steroids and hormones we have today. I highly doubt he was taking anabolic steroids then for performance enhancement. He had no bulk and no muscle definition-both characteristics of anabolic steroid use in the 1970's and 1980's.If McEnroe was taking steroids, it would have been a prescription for a muscle injury.

I'm not sure why anyone cares what John McEnroe or Tatum O'Neal did or do. It's not like they are top pop culture icons or anything. Yawn.
All of these revelations by declining stars are for the purpose of keeping their heads in front of a tv camera.

Its rampant in tennis too. People laughed when I accused Tiger Woods of being the roid freak that he is. Its only a matter of time before that cat is out of the bag.

the vast majority of pro athletes use steroids. a large percentage of college athletes do also. tons of high school kids do. all your favorite actors and models do also.
