OSAMA BIN LADEN will soon make a televised address to the Muslim world, a prominent Arabic language website has reported, reinforcing American intelligence information that he is still alive.

US intelligence believes that he is surrounded by al-Qaeda’s high command either in Afghanistan or just over the border in Pakistan.

Washington has been braced for a new bin Laden video. One official told The Times: “We expected them to take six months to reorganise. They have taken nine. But we’re sure he’s still there.”

It would not surprise some in Washington if the video were broadcast on or just before America’s Fourth of July, as a symbolic attempt to overshadow America’s Independence Day celebrations.

The announcement, which was attributed to Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, bin Laden’s spokesman, appeared on Wednesday on a website that issues daily updates on the war in Afghanistan.

“America should get ready and fasten its safety belt,” Abu Ghaith was quoted as saying on the site. “We will come to them from where they don’t expect. Yes, we will wage attacks, but at the right time, at the place we want and in the way we please.”

Although US eavesdroppers have picked up an increase in “chatter” from electronic surveillance of suspected al-Qaeda sympathisers, little or nothing has suggested bin Laden’s whereabouts.

One key indicator was the movement of two of the five people arrested last month in Morocco. The pair were wives of two of the three Saudi nationals who are suspected of plotting attacks on Nato ships in the Strait of Gibraltar, and had made recent trips to Afghanistan. Intelligence officials assume they were al-Qaeda messengers.

US intelligence officials were scanning the web yesterday for the possible reappearance of “alneda.com”, an Arabic internet site described as the “mouthpiece for al-Qaeda in exile”. Alneda.com popped up in Texas and Malaysia earlier this month before being taken off the web at the request of US intelligence.

The site, which contained audio and video clips of bin Laden, photographs of al-Qaeda suspects in detention in Pakistan and what appeared to be coded messages for followers, was used to transmit instructions for attacks and plans for regrouping.

Basically, I would suggest that you as Muslims begin actively protecting us "infidels" against any further agression. Small price to pay for waking up every day. They can't kill all of us - but if attacked again, we WILL kill all of you. Worldwide. This would mean the literal end of not only your religion, but also of your entire ethnicity. Your "oppressed" people would look back on the days leading up to this wistfully - like these were the "good old days" when you had the freedom to roam the planet instead of being hunted like rabid dogs anywhere on earth. Think about that.

This site had a link to alneda.com too....now this site is really cute and whiny- they even put the photos from gitmo on their 'massacres' section. I love this picture of the marine holding a set of leashes, I mean restraints - for the terrorists...I don't think the people on the web site like it too much though.

And they even made an attempt at insulting us by adding comments in parenthesis to the captions on their photo pages. They're not too good at it, at least not by our 'flaming' standards, but they gave it a shot :

(A point to mention is that the US officials cited "hygienic reasons" for shaving the beards off the prisoners. This is hardly surprising, coming from the officials of a nation and culture that does not clean itself with water after passing urine or stool, nor cut its underarm and pubic hair and nor wash its hands after using the lavatory. Even independent research into swimming pools in most Western nations has shown that the primary foreign elements contained within the water were urine and faeces. Likewise, research into peanut bowls in bars and pubs in these nations showed that urine was the primary constituent in these bowls other than the peanuts and salt. Therefore, it is amusing that such filthy, unhygienic and unclean individuals have the audacity to make fun of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAWS), the best man to walk the face of this earth, citing "hygienic reasons". The reality is that one hair from the beard of the Prophet (SAWS) is worth more than the life of every American disbeliever put together. )

I think the US Government ought to adopt a simple, clear policy towards any Arab language TV station that shows any Bin Laden tape:

BOMB 'EM INTO OBLIVION.

Stop giving Bin Laden air time. This is the Arab Worlds way of "rubbing our noses" in it. It's high time we let them know they will no longer be permitted to taunt us by showing Bin Laden videos.

I guess this explains those reports of Camp X-Ray inmates attempting to clean their bottoms with toothpaste. The Arabs are actually way ahead of us when it comes to personal hygiene. Who'da thunk it?
