From Thomas Jefferson's letter to William Smith:

What country before ever existed a century & a half without a rebellion? & what country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. It is it's natural manure.
Let's get on with it.

Where do we start?

I notice you live in Maine. :) WAY up north. (Beautiful up there I may add) I can tell you driving in southern Maine is a whole different story. (Live on the border of Maine) posted speed limit 45 MPH to 25MPH with out warring in the Berwick's, Speed trap's for the unknowing, Anything over 25 MPH will subject you to being pulled over. (Which many are on that road on a constant basis.) So even if your breaking to slow down if you're not going 25 MPH At the sign.. You will be pulled over. LOL

In N.H. you can be pulled over (On a technicality really) If you don't have 2 light bulbs on each license plate. If they want you they will find a way to get you to search you.

It matters not what one looks like with short hair, well groomed or anything as please note all the mass murderers on 9/11 and Ok. City all fit that description. (BTW my husband would kill me for cutting my hair LOL)

As for the Subject at hand, they will have "CHECK POINTS" just like they do now to make sure everyone is carrying their proper tracking devices. It is becoming a scary world indeed!!

Tell your husband to get on his CB and raise hell!

My understanding of FCC rules on CB prohibit the use of such for political and commercial purposes.

In case you still respect the law that is.

I suggest everyone contact their Secretary of State or appropriate authority and take every legal measure at terminating your DL, then reapply using every religious objection possible, but do not assent to ID using your name, SS, or picture, instead offer as a proving mechanism the print of your big toe under conditions of use limited to validation of the holder of the license.

There is no reason the state cannot both protect your identity and certify you as a safe driver.

If you have no proof of ID, how can you obtain one? If it doesnt exist, it doesnt exist.

Didn't realize you were Ms Japedo. Sorry about that.

I've only been in Maine since May, '97. From Massachusetts, a police state if ever there was one.

(hum to tune of "New York, New York) If you can get over there, you can get over anywhere.

Do not be intimidated.

I don't know about the rules expressly prohibiting politcal activities - but CB was established to facilitate 'bidness' ...

Now, the rules on amatuer radio *do* expressly forbid 'bidness' use of same.

Just imagine, whenever you buy something, your new National ID Card inside your drivers license will tell computer networks exactly where you are located at that moment.

If some government agency is wanting to watch your every move, they will be able to find you the moment you use your drivers license for ID purposes.

I don't see the connection?

Exactly how would this work?

Are cards going to be required before the cashier will ring you up?

Is that like these new cards that supermarkets issue that grant shoppers steep discounts when we produce them for scanning prior to checkout?

I had the same thought that you did. How about those nifty cards that some supermarket chains are using now. For example, the "Kroger plus card" here in GA. With the card you can save $$ on your grocery purchase. But, now they have your name and personal information as well as buying habits. What if, to "reduce the number of cards you need to carry" and to "make your shopping experience more joyfull" they start taking these national ID cards. It's just another small step to make them MANDITORY. You know, so they can monitor and "limit" our purchases of "non-healthy" foods or, heaven forbid - CIGARETTES! You know, for "our benefit" and the "common good"

They can all GO TO H*#@!

One more step toward a nifty little chip you can put in your hand, or even forehead, under the skin. It can hold all of your information! Great news! It will only take a pledge to satan incarnate, and drinking the full cup of God's wrath, but hey, as long as we're safe!

It also says you can get 20 years for reading the contents of the microchip.

Dear god what do they want to hide. That just makes me want to hack into the microchip more.

We should copy this article to all Christian radio stations around the country and to Christian websites so that there is a nation-wide alert, and so that we all can loudly tell DC to cram it.

I'm sure the democrats are NOT going to approve of this either and would be more than happy to cooperate, along with a petition against this!
