We must start a campaign among drivers to reject this crap!

Tell your husband to get on his CB and raise hell!

You can bet that each card will be trackable even if you don't use it to buy or sell. It will have an id circuit built in that will allow road side antennas to see you drive by. Just like the Easy Tags that are used on Toll Roads, this card in your pocket will be easily tracked by antennas placed on the road to monitor where you are.

This Bill requires that "a State shall embed a computer chip in each new or renewed driver's license or identification card issued by the State."

A few years after it is implemented, the next bill will read:

"This Bill requires that "a State shall embed a computer chip in each persons hand or forehead to be used as a driver's license or identification card issued by the State."

We should copy this article to all Christian radio stations around the country and to Christian websites so that there is a nation-wide alert, and so that we all can loudly tell DC to cram it.

Wait till the HMO's insist on a biochip implant

Then I won't do business with them. Or anyone else who wants me to submit to National ID, chips, or biometrics.

I'm not kidding around. I'm not cooperating. I don't care if they won't even sell me food, water or shelter. I'll live under an overpass and eat from a dumpster if that's what it takes.

But they need to understand, that no matter what, I'm not giving up my freedom. And I need help. I need many millions of people to stand with me.

I admire your attitude. We all need to stand together to oppose this, and we must be absolutely determined.

Free Republic was built with political activism in mind. Let's do just that. Enough with the debates. Now is the time for action.

Let us begin by contacting our legislators, and anyone else who will listen about this issue.

I'm trying to compile a list for the "Republicans Can Do No Wrong" crowd.

FRmail OWK. He has compiled an extensive list going back years. I'm sure it's as long as Santa's list by now.

I've already called my congresscritter regarding this "new ID card". This is a very bad idea and it is the gateway to tyranny- the likes of which none of us have ever seen.

There is no such thing as a counterfeit proof card. Once the criminal element "defeats the security features" or a black market in phoney cards explodes, newer more totalitarian ID devices will be "suggested" as the solution. This is not a slippery slope, it is the abyss!

Hey buddy, you don't need a license to drive, all you need is keys. ;O)

LOL Agree!!

However, when I'm pulled over by the National tracking people and they demand to see my chip, I will Face the consequences of driving with out my chip and just my keys. LOL :)

What happens if I just lay my driver's license on a magnet to demagnetize the strip?

Then isn't it just your basic photo ID?

It isn't a magnetic strip, it's a 'smart chip'; an encrypted computer chip.

Also, see post #26. The bill has a 20 year sentence for tampering with or destroying any part of the card.

It also says you can get 20 years for reading the contents of the microchip.

Drive the speed limits, don't drive after 9:00 PM if you can help it.

If you're gonna drink and drive, get it over with early. Never drive after closing time.

Look straight, cut your hair. Dress middle class.

It took them 18 years to catch up with me and I paid a $15.00 fine for driving without. (Long story)

Bella, you wouldn't have to prove yourself. All the old hands would just say, "Bella's back!"

Just kidding ya, Honey.

An "encrypted computer chip" - do you suppose I would come up with some credible hits on Google if I enter that as a search parameter?
