CEOs didn't lie until they got the idea from seeing Clinton lying about sex?

No. They got the idea by seeing him lie (right up in our faces)(and get away with it) since 1992.

The Clinton economy is NOT happening now. He left office a long time ago.

The Clinton Economy IS happening RIGHT now, as the Decade of Fraud starts to become uncovered, and the ramifications of the CEO's frauds (who took their cue from YOUR fraudulent piece-of-trailer-trash 'President') start to hit home.

When a bank robber is guilty of robbery, is he guilty only the minutes that he is actually taking the money, or is he guilty until he makes restitution?

Same thing with Clinton and the Decade of Fraud he is responsible for.

You and your liberalism have been the death of our nation.

No CEO started lieing in the books when word snuck out that there would be no legal repercussions. Look at Enron, what's the time period during which their books were bogus? Fyscal years 93 through 2000 inclussive... the Clinton years.

They're trying to place blame on the old whipping boy, Clinton. He deserves plenty of blame for Criminal Activity, but he's about the weight of a gnat on the Economy. His interests were in the more Carnal realm. The Real Power Structure just let him Play while they bled the U.S. for all they could.

America also came out ahead richer, as well

Then why are public and private debt higher than ever? Why are we running record deficits?

Why does this rich nation have a current account deficit and a falling dollar? Why does the government of this rich nation have to write IOU's to "trust" funds to avoid default? Why is a SIX TRILLION DOLLAR credit line still not enough?

Liberals never learn anything new. They believe in 'Living' facts, facts that change based on the way those facts are needed.

B.S. I ran a $35million/yr. output manufacturing plant for the English in this Country 'til '84. They were playing the games then, and were getting by with it. Anybody who watched the "massaging" of the numbers by Corporate Controllers from a reasonable level knows the Games have been there for years.

It just Consumed Itself with Greed in recent years. Read that link I posted above.

It isn't bad news for everyone. I have a 15-20 year investment horizon, and the recent declines mean that my dollar cost averaging approach to investing allows me to buy at cheaper prices. The market will turn around over time(or if it doesn't, things will be so bad that my investments will be the least of my worries), thus the fact that the indexes are down allows me to get more bang for my buck.

I'm still buying, isn't everyone else?

Your indiscriminate use of capital letters leads me to suspect that you're really Barbara Cartland.

That's an awfully broad and negative generalization about liberals, who make up the majority of people in the USA.

Except in Flyover Country, where we eat 'em for breakfast. They're gettin' mighty scarce 'round here.

Here's an argument from On High. Take it or leave it:
Final comment, liberals and liberal causes. This board was established for discussions by conservatives of events and concepts that are important to us. The media is dominated by liberals. The government is infested by liberals. Our educational institutions are overrun by liberals. The liberal viewpoint and liberal “debate” is forced upon us every day from every news broadcast, TV program, newspaper, school room, congressional debate, and on and on, ad infinitum. We are not suffering for a lack of liberal input. We do not need liberals coming in here to “inform” us or to “debate” with us on the need for so-called gay rights, abortion rights, gun-free rights, or to expand our minds to any other mushy liberal feel good concepts. There are no such rights in natural law, common law or the Constitution. We are well aware of your immoral and perverted desires, believe me. We do not need to hear it again. Your vanity posts on such subjects will likely get deleted, and you will likely get booted if you are a liberal and come in here thinking that we owe you a soapbox. This is not a government funded or approved project and we do not need to offer you equal time. If you are a liberal and want to post on FR (and several long-time posters are), you’d best watch your step and take care not to offend anyone, especially me. I have a very short fuse when it comes to tolerating anyone who wants to deprive me of my Constitutional rights, my God, my livelihood, the fruits of my labor, my children, my unborn grandchildren, my American Heritage, my freedom of association, my freedom or my Liberty.

Other than that, welcome to Free Republic! Pull up a chair and enjoy the ride.

seeing Clinton lying about sex

Until you can look at yourself in the mirror and say, "I should be ashamed that I support a guy who, as President of the United States, committed the felony of perjury" you will be part of the problem.

I sincerely hope you and others who chant your, "It's only lying about sex" mantra lose liberty or property to a perjurer.
