Expresses my sentiments better than me. I'm sure you'll let me know what you think of it. IT touches many points we were discussing on the Tennessee mosque thread.

ISLAM = TERRORISM
To: swarthyguy
Great post. As an Irish-American (Gawd,I hate that term), I have no qualms in calling the IRA savages. Why won't Muslim-Americans (Gawd, I hate that term) do the same in respect to those who wish to destroy this nation?

Mr. Farber has no room in his heart, or his soul, for American Muslims who abhor, deride, denounce and want nothing to do with terrorists, of any kind. And who have said so loudly and publically and then must tolerate oafs who say "I didn't hear YOU!"
As an American Muslim, when I read of a skyjacker drinking in a Florida topless bar, I said out loud "that is No True Muslim!" "An imposter trying to hide behind something he doesn't follow!"
But Mr. Farber got his name in print, probably a fee for writing his article, and of course I believe in free speech. That's why I live here.

Their brother Osma blows up New York and they tell me to read their book ??
1)I refuse to have my literary excursions dictated to me by the likes of Osama Bin Laden.
2)I refuse to have my spiritual pursuits dictated to me by the likes of Osama Bin Laden.
3)I refuse to have my world view dictated to me by the likes of Osama Bin Laden.
The same goes for the countless Osama-loving-lemmings who forward the same causes around the globe.

Nice commentary. So what do you really know about the true Islam and those who practice it? For someone who has been writing since the 50's it seems like not much. Yeah there are bad guys and there are good guys. Most of which are good guys. Maybe you should start by asking some of those good guys how they feel? Why they are not marching? Before you start writing in the first place.

Islam is often referred to as one of the world's great religions. It seems that designation is given if (a)the religion has been around for a long time, and (b)it has large numbers of adherents. By this standard, astrology and wishful thinking could be considered among the world's great religions.
If Islam had originated about 10 years ago as a small group outside of , oh let's say Waco, TX, the reaction to it would be quite different. If they were in their compound forcing women to wear veils, chopping off the hands of thieves and the heads of adulterers, Janet Reno would have sent in the tanks pronto. However, since there are millions of Muslims worldwide, this religion somehow commands great respect (or is it just fear?) among educated people who ought to know better.

As well as writing for 50 years, Mr. Farber had a long-running (by that I mean decades) overnight radio talk show in New York. His interviews were of diverse but always interesting topics. He speaks somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 languages. He has always been a voice of reason in my opinion. (He even ran for Mayor of New York on the Conservative ticket once).
Just thought some people would be interested.

Interesting, I read a column in the
Newark Star Ledger by Paul Mulshine along precisely those same lines in which he was quoting Rep King from Long Island. Apparently the 'profiling' whines from Muslims are drawing the blunt response that we really don't trust them.
The tepid, "9/11 was a terrible crime, BUT..." protestations from CAIR and their ilk show no genuine American patriotism. They are not on our side and we notice.
A few days ago I noticed something that struck me. I was driving through downtown Newark, which I hadn't done in several months, along the route by which I used to commute to New York. I passed a marble building I knew to be a mosque and was surprised at the rather derelict look of the place. At first I thought it had closed down. The large sign above the door was gone. Then as I drove past I noticed a small sign on the side of the building and someone in the lobby looking furtively out, as if on guard. If Muslims think they have to lie low in Newark of all places that can't be good for them.

Great post! Thanks.
I noticed that a couple of muslims had to weigh in on this thread ("mohammad atta drinks and watches strippers - therefore he is no true muslim").
If a democrat had weighed in with some pro-bill-clinton spin on a freeper thread, he would have been flamed by about 50 freepers so fast that his head would be spinning all the way back to the commune. But I'm glad to see that these muslim guys don't get much of a response. Ever tried to argue with one of those halfwits in person? It's like arguing with a wall. So why even bother? I really don't care to hear any more about what they think, and NO I'm not going to study the Koran to learn about their pedophile founder. Remember the story about Mohammad Atta with the Florida banker, referring to her as "but a woman"? Doesn't surprise me a bit. That's exactly how they acted when I saw them in college.
So, when the muslims wonder why they aren't even worthy of a response, let me summarize: because you are "but a muslim".

I first heard Barry Farber on radio somewhere around 6-8 years ago, where he and Allen Colmes (currently of Hannity and Colmes) were doing a (very tame) Crossfire type show. He is very conservative, in a low key sort of way, and not as good a debater as you might wish (why can't conservatives debate better?), but this is a good column by Mr. Farber.

Is our war against the Islamic fanatics is really a sex driven war?
From the beginning of time the human animal addressed the basic biological need for sex, in a way much similar to animals. The men need sex basically for its pleasure, and the women need it mostly for propagating the human race. Thus men looked at women as a sex object? And women looked at men for protection/commitment.
Since then, civilization and religions imposed different rules on the human animal, and sexuality. We cannot walk around naked, men cannot have as many wives as they want, men cannot beat the women if they refused to have sex with them, men cannot throw out women who become unattractive/old/back-talkers without paying dearly!......The problem with this picture is as the world civilization imposed artificial restriction on the male animal, the Islamic religion kept most of the animal privileges of the cave men to its followers. Islam was invented by a man, and to assure its propagation, it catered to men.
At this point, Moslems who live in Moslem countries do not care how the rest of the world behaves. That is simply because most of these countries are still protecting the rights of the men to abuse women. However, there are two problems, first the Moslem men who visit the west are terrified from the amount of freedom our females have, and second, the new global village and the dominance of the Hollywood movies and American culture assures these backward people that there is no place to run or to hide from the new way of life, where women have equality. They fear the potential of revolts from their female population, and a continuous degradation of their rights to use and abuse women.

Convert or die.
Either way they will leave you in 'peace'

The reality is that, as soon as they are able, Moslem murderers will set off a nuke in the U.S. Millions throughout the Moslem world will cheer.
For that reason, I agree with an opinion I read today. We must make the Moslem world aware of a new U.S. policy of MAD (mutually assured destruction). We need to have at least 50% of our strategic nuclear forces targeted on centers of the Muslim world. If a nuke is set off in the U.S., Meca, and all of the major middle eastern cities will be flattened. The same goes for Islamabad, Kurachi, and Lahore in Pakistan. Put the ball in their court. Either they clean up their act, or an escalation of Isamic terrorism will reap a whirlwind of righteous destruction.
I've thought about this one long and hard and I can think of no better alternative. We are fighting evil on a massive scale.

Any shyness that might have prevented American Moslems from locking arms, hearts, and voices with other Americans after 9-11 vanished when the Israeli military entered Ramallah and Jenin to root out the terrorist bomb factories and suicide-homicide schools (operating, incidentally, quite openly inside refugee camps run by the United Nations!) And financed to the tune of 40%, incidentally, by the U.S. through the U.N.
