Hi Guys [& Gals].

I would like to request prayer for my stepfather.

He was shot Friday.

He took a 9mm hollowpoint to the lower chest on his right side. The round is either lodged between two vertebrates or it is sitting close to a disk, the Doctors have run two separate CT scans and arent quite sure at this point where exactly the bullet is located.

He has been kept in a semi-coma in order to prevent him from moving around. This has brought on Neumonia [sp?] and currently his temperature is at 103.

His name is Gary L. Casserly and he is in the Neuro-trama unit at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

I would greatly covet prayers on his behalf dealing with complete recovery, the neumonia and any complications brought about by his being immobile and also prayer for the Lord to heal whatever [if any] damage has been done to his spinal cord or any nerve damage.

Godly Wisdom as well as discernment for all of the Hospital staff who come in contact with him regardless of their job or specialty.

Some of you can simply come in agreement with me but the true intercessors can hit whatever the Lord wants you to cover.

I have two younger Sisters and a younger Brother as well as my Mother that I would like you to also cover.

The Doctors have already started in with their doom & gloom scenarios. I am not moved by them but other Family members could be.

I join with others in prayer for the healing of Gary Casserly. Guide his physicians and nurses to give him the best care possible, so that his body will be repaired and renewed. Strengthen him as he battles complications from his wound, and use this time to fill him with a sense of Your love and care.

Thank You Lord for deflecting the bullet enough that his life was spared. Surround the family with angels of encouragement and protection, and through the Holy Spirit bring them all into a closer relationship with You, the Divine Physician.

I pray that the Lord will heal Gary's wounds, and heal his pneumonia. Lord, guide the hands of the physicians and nurses and allow them to do Your work. Help those around him. Help them to remain strong and to radiate that strength to Gary so he may draw on them. Amen.

Humble prayers go out for your step-father, may the Lord grant him the peace he is looking for. It is as such a time we ask ourselves why? God does work in mysterious ways, it is,perphaps a way to bring families together and strenghten their faith in the Almighty. His will be done and not ours.
