Thank you for all you do for your extended 'family'!!
I don't care about the "delicacy" factor of soft-shells they gross me out.
I don't want crunch when I eat crabs.

I am not paraphrasing - those were his exact words.
I helped my son drive to New York for his first year of college...he wanted to have his car with him, and I was not happy about letting him make the trip by himself....so I went with, and helped drive...at the end of the school year, he drove himself back....said I was a hindrance...he got home twice as quick as it took the two of us to drive out there...
Well, there is a local contractor, that lots of people use around here, and they all seem very happy with his work, his guarantee, and his price...so we are checking him out as well as some of the bigger outfits....
But no matter who does it, it will be a drain on the savings, but it must get done...
This chicken is the juiciest, most mouthwatering bird you'll ever try. I also like the aspect of theater when you cook it, because it looks so damned weird on the grill, people will wonder what brand of crack you switched to.
Have you really done this with to a chicken? ;-)
I was a tomboy as a kid, too and I will never discourage that with her.
I refuse to be one of those "older moms" that is so paranoid about everything (AKA politically correct) that I'm not going to let her be a kid - bumps, bruises, stitches and broken bones included - the last 2 I hope I don't have to encounter.
She's a child and she needs to be allowed to be a child and I intend to allow her to be - within guidelines!!!
