I'm so glad I only have the one daughter. I'm almost 42 - she'll be 4 next month - that is enough for us!!!

I was a tomboy as a kid, too and I will never discourage that with her.

I refuse to be one of those "older moms" that is so paranoid about everything (AKA politically correct) that I'm not going to let her be a kid - bumps, bruises, stitches and broken bones included - the last 2 I hope I don't have to encounter.

She's a child and she needs to be allowed to be a child and I intend to allow her to be - within guidelines!!!

Yes, kids need to be kids...You can warn them about real dangers, but aside from that, they need to experience life, bumps and all...
