dad warmed to GW early (he always loved Cheney) and since Sept. 11th could be classified as a Bush babe. This is great. What you've said is that your dad isn't (or wasn't) one of those brain-dead dems. What really intrigues me is how did he turn out so many conservatives (from age 3)? Did he teach you to think for yourselves or were you just born that way?

Hi Joe and WillaJ...Hubby had his daddy day dinner and is off to bed. I asked to lurk a bit and he made me promise not to pledge anymore WHILE he gave me a little wink.
That being said, it's time to get the momentum going. So add me in for a one time of $100 in honor of my father, Alexander Mann, WWII Marine Vet., soon to be 80.
He's a life long democrat but proudly watched us at the March for Justice on CSPAN (his favorite speakers were Alan Keys and ReJoice!)and loves our current administration. I'm the only daughter so "daddy's girl" and a wonderful dad he's been.

I am sure we'll get it all fired up again shortly. that will be interesting to see!!!!

I imagine a lot of folks are having their Fathers Day Dinner now, or are visiting with their dads... I imagine you are correct.

Washington State Freeper just sent another $200.00 with the following words
"Today we remember our Fathers.
But, for me, when we remember our Fathers we should not forget our Mothers.
I was very fortunate to have been raised by two loving individuals.
This donation is in the name of: Reita Jean Ramage Flath"
Your tributes are very moving .
All of the Freepers thank you

Is there an update of Post 10?
To: Gabz
So, you hate your child equally. You will make a great member of the Mean Mommies Club. I am unfair between the three. I let them know I love one better than the other, it all depends who is in the room. LOL!

Free Republic is one of those rare opportunities in life where you and friends in the present can have a positive impact on the future.
The reality is in a world without Free Republic, we conservatives would not really have a voice and impact on the future of our country.
