Miller gives $1,000 to McKinney's opponent Georgia Sen. Zell Miller has contributed $1,000 to the opponent of Rep. Cynthia McKinney in her upcoming congressional race, according to news reports today.
WSB radio said Miller is supporting former state Judge Denise Majette in the Democratic primary. Miller appointed Majette to the post while he was governor.
The station said Miller refused to criticize McKinney's record in Congress but again disputed her claim that President Bush had advance notice of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
McKinney charged in March that Bush knew about the attacks in advance but did nothing to prevent them so his supporters -- particularly military contractors -- could profit from the war.
Miller told WSB, "That was an irresponsible statement. No matter who made it. It was a loony statement."
Miller's decision to support Majette in the primary comes a few weeks after a Majette poll showed her slightly ahead of the five-term McKinney. Miller called Majette "the cream of the crop."

Miller called Majette "the cream of the crop."
Since Majette is the cream of the crop, hopefully McKinney will get creamed in the election.

Miller is clearly a racist. Why else would he give money to Kooky McKinneys opponent?
Hey, McKinney blames everything else on "the man" so why not this.

Miller called Majette "the cream of the crop."Majette may be the cream of the crop, but since this is about the Democratic primary, I can't really say that I care for the crop. (Still want to see her oust that raving wingnut, McKinney.)

Can anybody remember another incident when one politician gave another a campaign contribution? I found this alone pretty amazing.

As a FL resident, I'll help GA get rid of McKinney by donating to her opponent if GA will help FL get rid of our McKinney - CORRINE BROWN. The Corrine who can hardly put 2 words together to make a sentence and is as crooked and corrupt as they come.

I hope McKinney wins, and becomes more powerful in the Democratic Party. I hope she represents the Democrats on Sunday morning TV. Because if we're going to have a Democrat, it might as well be one that makes crazy accusations. That district -- if it elects McKinney -- must be a solid Dem district -- so why not have the rep be a total loon? It'll help the Republicans in other districts since she's such a nut.

Actually I believe it is fairly common...Most of the big shots don't have real competition but they still collect campaign funds. They send some of it back to other members of the party that aren't doing as well

Majette may be the cream of the crop, but since this is about the Democratic primary, I can't really say that I care for the crop. It's about like having a prized crop of poison ivy.

Miller is clearly a racist.Even though Majette is black? What's wilder is that McKinney is going around to her constituents telling them that Majette is [gasp!] a Republican! And of course, the "evil Republicans" are nothing but a bunch of racists who don't want anything good for you... [/sarcasm]
Some would say that McKinney's tactics are the refuge of the desperate...

Hey, if McKinney can accuse a black judge of being racist against her, whats it matter if her opponent is black. The race card is the only card in her deck.
To: PBRSTREETGANG
I can't really say that I care for the crop. This is true, but it certainly doesn't say much for the Georgia GOP either -- they are not running anyone in the fourth against McKinney or Majette for the fall!?!?!???

Didn't that tactic work for the mayor of Newark, N.J.?
