White House: Clinton Vandalism Worse than GAO Reported
The vandalism committed by outgoing Clinton-Gore staffers on the White House and Old Executive Office Building was far worse than acknowledged by a General Accounting Office report released Tuesday, the Bush White House contends.
"It appears that the G.A.O. has undertaken a concerted effort to downplay the damage found in the White House complex," Bush administration White House Counsel Alberto Gonzales complained, in a written response to the G.A.O.'s conclusions cited by the New York Times.
Gonzales was said to be "deeply disappointed" that the G.A.O. did not go into more detail about the nature of the damage committed by the Clinton-Gore vandals, saying, for instance, that some of the graffiti they left behind was "especially offensive and vulgar."
The G.A.O. did not quote the obscene messages verbatim.
Other Bush adminsitration officials said the G.A.O. report was crafted in such a way as to obscure the "mind-set or intentions" of the Clinton-Gore hooligans.
Within weeks of the first White House vandalism reports last year, ex-President Clinton was quoted by the London Telegraph saying he would pay for the damages if they could be itemized.
Tuesday's report did just that, chronicling some $20,000 in broken computers, stolen telephones, damaged antiques and other destruction.
Still, despite the detailed list of costs, the ex-president is apparently uninterested in honoring his pledge. His spokeswoman Julia Payne referred questions on the matter to the Democratic National Committee, the Times said.

The damage he and his crusty wife commited and allowed to be commited to the peoples, voters of the United States of America, house is as perverted as the klintons are.
They are completely devoid of any human feelings or morals. A total waste of space on this earth and a waste of oxygen that could be used by some other useful person.

Time for the Big Creep to be FREEPED whereever he gives his million-dollar speeches: "Hey Bill, Pay the Damages you promised for your staff's White House Vandalism. $20,000.00 per GAO Report"

x42 left the White House in much the same condition he left the National Security--ransacked. The former can be (already has been) cleaned up, but we'll pay for the latter for years.

This is just another reminder of what happens when trailer park trash is allowed to invest a perfectly good residence.

Exactly right. They have never paid - in this life. But they are surely going to pay one day. The Bible calls it: Storing up God's wrath....as in Romans 2:5:
Romans 2
5 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.
But, I want some of that "wrath" to be manifested today. What about a group lawsuit for recovery of damages to taxpayers' property????

This is just sour grapes

Why is the Bush administration whining now? They had their chance a year ago and passed on it.

Talk about the klintoons not paying for anything...
> Think about this one !!! > > Don't forget, our girl, Hillary Rodham Clinton, as a New York Senator, > now comes under this fancy Congressional Retirement and Staffing Plan. > It's common knowledge that, in order for her to establish NYS residency, > they purchased a million+ dollar house in upscale Chappaqua, NY. BUT, an extra residency had to be built within the > acreage in order to house the Secret Service agents. The Clinton's now > charge > the Secret Service $10,000 monthly rent for the use of said Secret service > residence and that rent is just about equal to their mortgage payment, > meaning that we, the tax payers, are paying the Clinton's mortgage, > their transportation, their safety and security, their 12 man staff, and > it's > all perfectly legal.

That reminds me of something Roseanne once said; she said that people didn't like she and, then-husband, Tom Arnold because they were a bad combination, white-trash with money. That fits the Clintons to a tee.
And, I might add, white-trash with power.

What bothers me about this story is how the GOP once again blew it big time over such a simple to handle issue.
The crime scenes should have been immediately photographed and the photos immediately released to the media. The names of the people who worked in those areas should have accompanied the photos. The vulgar/obscene graffiti should have been printed for everyone to read, instead of merely guessed at.
Quick, cheap, recorded for posterity and over a long time ago.

When this matter first came up, didn't the administration say that they were photographing everything? I believe I remember reading that they were.

At least the stuff the Clinton's took with them wasn't damaged.
