I wonder why? I think that the posts which are deleted are the very ones that have truth that someone wants suppressed.

Hope they give a reason -- is something in this post compromising national security?

I vaguely remember the other thread but did not follow it to its demise. It could be just a simple as Whitley Strieber is not the most reliable source around. He does claim to have been "abducted" and with implants in his body to this day.

Just FYI, Whitley Strieber is a nutcase. He's the last guy I'd want discussing politics. The reason, he's been in contact with Aliens. I seriously doubt his credibility. I used to chat with a guy who knew Whitley, and apparently Whitley has been making the whole alien abduction thing up for a very long time. His take on politics is more of the same left wing conspiracy crapola that he's been spewing for years. I can actually see why such a post would be deleted, considering the source. Of course the addage about the stopped clock, might apply.

Good question. The stock trader sponsored Hoti into America, the former defense attorney for the KLA, who are funded in part by Bin Laden. Coincidence? Maybe.

Strieber is one of those left-wing Global Warming apostles along the lines of Leftie Moulton Howell or whatever her name is....... They're on a nightly jihad on what used to be the Art Bell show trotting out every junk-science "study" that comes along declaring the end of the world as we know it, that world average room temp will be, oh, about 200 degrees celsius if the USA doesn't return to 19th century energy consumption levels....

How the paranormal folks got co-opted by the leftwing junk-science freaks is beyond me. Seemed like a weird match when I first heard it. Kinda comical actually. After years of telling us the government had been lying to us about UFO's, lying to us about crop circles, lying to us about the Bermuda Triangle, lying to us about the moon landings or whatever----suddenly you have Linda Moulten Howell and Art Bell and Stribler reciting word-for-word the totally unsubstantiated government/media/academia propaganda on the Global Warming (meanwhile, the government, media and academic folks are laughing their arses off at the Art Bell listeners who believe in UFO's crop circles, the Bermuda Triangle, Global Warming and other paranomal things.)

Strieber is not exactly what I would consider a reliable source.

There should be special concentration on the activities of Solomon Smith Barney, which is active in the CME's futures markets, and which was also Mr. Elgindy's stock broker.

I worked in the Tokyo office for them at that time. They lost a building. The company took a brutal profits beating in the aftermath. I do not believe they could possibly have foreknowledge of the bombing and not do something to keep the employees away and the computers (and stored financial data) safe. It's ludicrous.

A simple Google search can give you the opus of Whitley Strieber's works. (New-age, alien abuductee, Dreamland...)

I was more interested debating and countering the individual points of fact that he was making. So far, altair has taken apart one of his arguements.

One of the 25 rules of disinformation is to:

5) Sidetrack opponents with name calling and ridicule. This is also known as the primary attack the messenger ploy, though other methods qualify as variants of that approach. Associate opponents with unpopular titles such as "kooks", "right-wing", "liberal", "left-wing", "terrorists", "conspiracy buffs", "radicals", "militia", "racists", "religious fanatics", "sexual deviates", and so forth. This makes others shrink from support out of fear of gaining the same label, and you avoid dealing with issues.
In this case, Whitley Strieber admits to being an alien abductee -- so we can certainly apply rule 5 to him.

Let's take apart the ideas, not the man. I'm glad this thread has been up over 12 hours and hasn't been deleted yet.

Whoa. I thought he looked a little odd (picture on his website). Interesting theory he has though.

Let's take apart the ideas, not the man.

Unfortunately, there are too many truths listed therein that cannot be discounted; so that demonizing the man is the only way to close off debate of the valid information presented.

While I don't believe that it is overt, I do believe there is a conspiracy --

Of all of these, the silence is deafening, and proof of just how far from the precepts enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution we have strayed.

I don't take seriously people who cannot spell correctly. It's Nikko Salomon Smith Barney. And they've already been investigated by the Japanese government. This is an English translation of the ruling.
