A simple
Google search can give you the opus of Whitley Strieber's works. (New-age, alien abuductee, Dreamland...)
I was more interested debating and countering the individual points of fact that he was making. So far, altair has taken apart one of his arguements.
One of the 25 rules of disinformation is to:
5) Sidetrack opponents with name calling and ridicule. This is also known as the primary attack the messenger ploy, though other methods qualify as variants of that approach. Associate opponents with unpopular titles such as "kooks", "right-wing", "liberal", "left-wing", "terrorists", "conspiracy buffs", "radicals", "militia", "racists", "religious fanatics", "sexual deviates", and so forth. This makes others shrink from support out of fear of gaining the same label, and you avoid dealing with issues.
In this case, Whitley Strieber admits to being an alien abductee -- so we can certainly apply rule 5 to him.
Let's take apart the ideas, not the man. I'm glad this thread has been up over 12 hours and hasn't been deleted yet.

Let's take apart the ideas, not the man. Unfortunately, there are too many truths listed therein that cannot be discounted; so that demonizing the man is the only way to close off debate of the valid information presented.
While I don't believe that it is overt, I do believe there is a conspiracy --
- -- of silence.
Too many actions taken which -- had they been committed by Joe Sixpack would have resulted in his trial and incarceration upon conviction -- relocate and usually promote the individuals involved. - -- of malfeasance.
When you find that Attorneys General and District Attorneys regularly meet and decide who, what, where, and when to make presentments to either a Court or Grand Jury in order to either enhance or retard possible charges; not only is that misconduct, but also a breach of ethics and a violation of their oaths. - -- of misfeasance.
Performing acts under color of law. - -- of malversation.
Corruption in office or commission, or in administration.
Of all of these, the silence is deafening, and proof of just how far from the precepts enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution we have strayed.

I don't take seriously people who cannot spell correctly. It's Nikko
Salomon Smith Barney. And they've already been investigated by the Japanese government.
This is an English translation of the ruling.
