Albert, we will consider your allegations when your "models" (how's that for the name of a SWAG?) contain accurate solar activity cycles amidst the many variables effecting the warming and cooling of the earth. You know, the warming and cooling that's been going on since a long time before there was "human activity". What's that? You didn't know this has happened before? I can't understand that, we know you didn't go to government school.

FLEISCHER: When the president cites the National Academy of Sciences saying that the National Academy of Science indicates that the increase is due in large part to human activity, I don't know how the president could say it more specifically than that.

Oh, my. Long breath......

What are we doing here guys? Holy cow! Lets get our act together!

Well, lets see, the world is cooling (circa 1975). The world is warming (circa 2002). Well now. What is it? Are we cooling, or are we warming?

You know what I think? We are cooling, then we are warming, then we are cooling, then we are warming..... what a bunch of c-a-r-p! Pepole, forget about this stuff. The world is a big thing and we have very little influence on it. We have as much influence on the earth as the slug, i.e. next to nothing.

I realize that this will not make any difference to you since you have your mind made up but some of those that are not members of the lynch mob yet may just hold off on this issue, I will admit that what Ari attributed to the president does not sound right, because it is not. Bush has always conceded that Co2 emissions had increased since the start of the industrial revolution and that the main cause of the increase was man made. Even the scientists that question Global Warming agree with that. However, Co2 is only ONE in the hundreds of so-called "green house gasses" that are combined to produce "global warming. The context is completely out of whack when Bush's statement on a single component is twisted to mean that he is talking about the human contribution to the meta subject of "Global Warming". The bottom line however; is that the EPA report stated emphatically that the United States was not going to do actual harm to our national economy to solve a "problem" that has not been definitively established.

I was wondering myself, So I ask some friends and I was told that Rush is a radio host named Rush Limbaugh who critiques politicians on a daily radio show and he has a website where his most faithful followers can pay to get a daily letter and he makes millions off this website and his listeners who call themselves "DittoHeads" Supposedly he is worshiped like a God by many.... Sounds like a cult to me. But apparently he considers himself as the voice of American conservatism.

Due to the lack of scandal and dishonesty in this administration this "entertainer" has been quoting from liberal left wing newspapers who generally dislike our President. Reports say that the President has the support of 96% of the registered Republican's of our nation and an overall approval rating in the high 70% range. Despite these facts this entertainer seems to have sided with likes of the NYT's and other liberal rags who's sole goal is to undermine the President in the hopes of advancing their liberal agenda. Most say it is just for ratings...Time will tell.

As far as Al gore... Never heard of him :-)

"That's not a moral choice," Gore said. "I don't want to hear from this bunch: 'We didn't know'."

The scumbag is STILL trying to use the old Nixon "What did he know, and when did he know it?" line, and that just doesn't cut it.

Gore is SO 2000.

Wait, I'm confused. I thought Rush bashed Bush by calling him George W. Gore re: Global warming. Now Gore is bashing W for not being Gore. Can one of the Rush tucchus kissers explain how W is advancing the Gore agenda if Gore is furious?

Tell me what exactly is it that you are angry about?

Twisting of Bush's stance by the media and many on fR ?

The fact that as long as we are members of the UN that every 5 years this report is required?

The myth that Bush has caved on the issue as many on here are perpetrating?

Sloppy research by fellow freepers and conservative talk show hosts anxious to perpetuate that myth?

The constant "Bush Caves" threads that are ALWAYS proven to be either outright falsehoods or obscenely ogverblown?

Let's see the industrial revolution started sometime before the mid-to-late 1970s. Yet, back when I was in junior high, I was told by one of my teachers that the earth was cooling and headed back to another ice age. I don't buy the idea the human activity has anything to do with global warming. In fact, I don't even buy the whole idea since there is plenty of evidence global warming isn't occurring.

Regardless, it was another flip-flop by Bush, one of almost a dozen. The whole episode was Clintonesque. Bush -- in a political sense -- is no different than Clinton. Stealing your opponent's ideas and sell out the core beliefs that were campaigned on.
