The Egyptian president said his intelligence chiefs believed, based on the agent's information, that "something is going to happen in the U.S." or "to the United States, maybe inside the U.S., maybe in an airplane, maybe in embassies" outside the United States. "We couldn't know, we tried to know where, but this information" never reached them."Something was going to happen", eh? Man, it doesn't get any more specific than that!

Grounded every commercial airliner. Closed all the malls. Cancelled Little League. Please.

Bush, like his FATHER, and HIS father, is A GLOBALIST.
He believes in a New World Order that would mean an end to nations, human rights as defined under the constitution, and an enthronement of the United Nations and socialist rule.
How can I say this? By studying his background, the background of the elites behind the NWO, and BY MEASURING HIS WORDS VS HIS DEEDS.
Global warming, indeed (from his lips to Al Gore's ears)

So the government got a warning that a terrorist plot was in the final stages a week before 9/11. What did you expect Bush to do, shut down the entire country?
To: captain11
What matters is that those who can act rationally consider available evidence on its merits. Do you understand written English? It says right up there that Mubarak said HE didn't know how bad it was.

Odd how it took 9 months before all this easy to find information comes to light. It's amazing what you can find when the media prints without verification.

'Bush, like his FATHER, and HIS father, is A GLOBALIST'
Of course. That's why we ned to vote for conservatives. But Bush was the best candidatew we had. Or do you propose we switch to a parlimentary system?

"We didn't know that such a thing could take place," [Mubarak] said, referring to the Sept. 11 attacks. "We thought it was an embassy, an airplane, something, the usual thing."
But, he added, to discover after the event that the terrorists were going to take airplanes and destroy buildings, "that is unbelievable." 'Nuff said. Egypt didn't "inform" us of squat.

I posted the actual news story off the NY Times web site as a posting,it is only contained within the thread here.Apparently posting the actual story as a post of its own was improper?

Exactly. I wonder why the Egyptians all of a sudden felt the need to admit this. Hummm...

Today, an Egyptian official, commenting on warnings about the Sept. 11 attacks, said, "There were indications that something was being prepared."
"There was information about some people planning an operation in the United States, against the United States, but you could not pinpoint where, how, when," the official said.
That's about as clear a statement as he could make. The Egyptians had received only GENERAL WARNINGS for pete's sake! A lot of good that is!

Careful of the spin on this one...
"We didn't know that such a thing could take place," he said, referring to the Sept. 11 attacks. "We thought it was an embassy, an airplane, something, the usual thing."
This was just part of the 'chatter' that was heard throughout the summer. Timing is everything. The problem is what the press/RATS try to do with this. I have a feeling that Hosni was trying to show how Egypt is/was helping the US. The NY times is even a little apprehensive playing politics with this one... Drudge should stop trying to break into the National Enq's business.

Oh, this gives me a very queasy feeling. I have a relative who is high up in national security who absented himself from his desk at the Pentagon on the morning of 9-11-2001. How many others knew? It reminds me of all the BATF agents who took the day off in OK City the day the Fed building was blown up. Something is very wrong here.
GWB will be the scapegoat, but this whole plan was in motion a year before he took office. And many government agents, Clinton appointees, looked the other way or deliberately suppressed emergency warnings like the one from Mubarak.

Um, but let's see. Even though there is a mountain of evidence pointing to failures surrounding Clinton's lives, it's time to "move on" and blame Bush! Yea, that's the ticket!
To: SentryoverAmerica
I defintely wouldn't go that far....or anywhere near that....
