Nostradamus and Mabus
Washington Report ^

Posted on 05/31/2002 3:52:39 AM PDT by UCANSEE2

I was reading about Nostradamus and the return of the Antichrist. The name is supposed to be Mabus.

One coincidence I found was in an article in the WASHINGTON REPORT.

The first sentence contained this.

Former Georgia Senator Wyche Fowler has taken up duties as U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia, replacing outgoing Ambassador Raymond Mabus.

See Link.

Is it coincidence ?

The other direction my search took is the SCUD MISSILES that Saddam Hussein has. The one that they can launch WMD with biologicals on is called AL ABBAS.

If you see this missile, with the name on it, you might see it as MABUS. the first two letters, Al almost look like an "M".

More importantly, the quatrain describing Mabus, could also be describing a missile just like this.

Mabus then will soon die,
there will come A horrible undoing of people and animals:
At once vengeance one will see vengeance,
One hundred hands, thirst, famine,
when the comet will run.

Then will soon die, meaning the short life span of a missile after it is fired.
One will see vengeance, One missile fired in vengeance makes it.
One hundred handsIsn't this just about the exact height of the Al Abbas missile ?
When the comet will run, pretty good description of a missile launch and flight.

Hmmm. That's pretty good. I think the other quatrains are interesting, where Nosty predicts the third 'anti-christ,' who is supposed to come from "greater Persia." Ole' Binny boy perhaps?

The other thing that seemed coincidental is the news that tanks were re-entering the town in Israel called.......
Nablus. Kinda close to the name Mabus, again. That is what got me going back to research the name Mabus. It may have nothing to do with Nostradamus's predictions, it just was the phonetic link that caught my attention.

I agree. Nostrodamas has been the subject of a lot of conjecture in the past 40 years. The only way his predictions have ever been understood is the ex post facto events. It may be interesting to read but you shouldn't waste your time trying to derive the meaning of it. Like Jesus said, "No man may know the day or hour".

Thanks, UCANSEE2. I don't mean to insult you. Nostradamus, Miss Cleo. Some believe or want to, some don't.

No insult taken. I wanted it in the gibberish, I mean Your Opinion/Questions section. I very rarely make a post and I messed up when I did post it.

I thought the fact that an Ambassador to Saudi Arabia was named MABUS was too good to pass up, and the missile deal interested me also. Thought it might interest others and provoke some thought.

I don't even mind when others shoot down my ideas, because even then I learn something.

And when you rearrange the letters of "Raymond Mabus", you get the phrase, "Arabs no dummy" and "Sad UN army mob".

Coincidence? I think not. But I'm still trying to figure out the significance of "Dry anus mambo".

Uh, no offense, but the writings of Nostradamus are garbage. They are vague and loose ramblings that from a statisical point of view could be linked at anytime, in any country to hundreds if not thousands of similarities.

Even as entertainment, they are wastes of time, but I could be wrong. I'm txzman and that is just my opnion.

I do not have any great opinion of Nostradamus, although his prediction of the death of Henri II (King of France in his own time) was rather good. But most of the quatrains can say anything, IMO. However, you are right that a rising missile would look like a comet.

While we are on predictions, I was mulling over one recently, from an entirely different source, which is Islamic eschatology. (Yes, yes, anyone offended by Muslim seers and irregular prophecies need read no further. No need to flame me.) This one comes from Imam Jaffari, who is one of the "12 Imams" who are the founders of the Shia sect in Islam. In this sect, they have strong beliefs about the return of the Mahdi (messiah) who will put things right in the world, once it has got to its last stage.

According to many of the predictions of these 12 Imams, the troubles of the last age in the world, which will "fill the earth with injustice and tyranny" will emanate from Iraq. There will be unprecedented warfare there: [Al-Husayn b. Sa'id (reported) on the authority of Mundhir al- Jawzi, on the authority of Abu Abd Allah (Jafar al-Sadiq), peace be on him:] (Mundhir al-Jawzi) said: I heard (Ja'far al-Sadiq) say: "Before the coming of the one who will rise (al-qa'im), peace be on him, the people will be chided for their acts of disobedience by a fire which will appear in the sky and a redness which will cover the sky. It will swallow up Baghdad, it will swallow up Kufa. There blood will be shed and houses destroyed. Death (fana) will occur amid their people and a fear will come over the people of Iraq from which they shall have no rest."

For centuries, these predictions looked rather wild, as Iraq was a complete backwater of no significance. Of course, they look a bit more relevant now. Kufa, incidently, is a town in southern Iraq, a shrine town for the Shia, otherwise an unimportant place, but stragetic on the modern map. In rational terms, one could say that the Imam was imagining violent events in Iraq because it was an important place in his own world. However, I though it interesting to post this, as these predictions circulate and are discussed among some Middle Easterners, just as Nostradamus is in our world.

The Imam, Nostradamus.....

Jesus, Mohammed.....

There have been many prophets, and there may have been many messiah's.

To each his own, as they say.

No problemo. Nostradamus is interesting, but may really be mostly the ramblings of someone that obviously had not much else to do but write.

BUT, Here is something to think about.

Let's replace one word in your statement and see what happens.

Uh, no offense, but the writings of the Bible are garbage. They are vague and loose ramblings that from a statisical point of view could be linked at anytime, in any country to hundreds if not thousands of similarities.

What do ya think?

One hundred handsIsn't this just about the exact height of the Al Abbas missile

A hand is generally considered to be about 4 inches. Thus 400 inches = about 33 feet 4 inches.
