EXTREME liberal BS in my classroom today!
Posted on 05/20/2002 8:39:12 PM PDT by Loc123
Today my teacher, a liberal whom I normally respect at least, tried to convince the class that Osama Bin Laden was remorseful and repentant for what he did--so he shouldn't get the death penalty and such.
We were talking about what is justice and what are its limits (IE should Germans who are today discovered to be Nazi's be tried for there crimes) and a student brought up the point that OBL would never be forgiven in the USA. My teacher then shot back that he is remorseful and cannot sleep and needs tranquilizers to sleep at night. I told him that this was because of the American military operations and he said that I was wrong. He claims that Al Jazeera (that's credible!) interviewed OBL's wife and was told this information.
But OMG is this not disgusting beyond belief!? Is there such an interview? I have never seen a posting on this esteemed site to confirm his claims.
I thought about totally demolishing this guy but didn't because I am currently running for student body president and my classmates are mostly liberal and mostly like this teacher.
Just to let you know what your tax dollars are being spent on: anti-american propaganda!

If he could, Binny would remove your teacher's heart with his bare hands and serve it to his goats. There's repentance for ya'......

I thought about totally demolishing this guy A person can do only so much. Pick your battles well and get a good fix on your bigger goal. Taking on a teacher won't do much good, and you are right in that you might win something but lose even more.

How in the world does your teacher know that Osama Bin Laden is remorseful? Does she have a pipeline to Afghanistan? That should be your first question to her. It is just such a bizarre statement, considering all the inflammatory rhetoric in the videos that they have been releasing.

It wouldn't matter even if he were remorseful. It's not his emotions we want to kill him for. It's his actions.

Loc123, you should never let stuff like this just slide by. I think part of the problem in classrooms today. I think there are a lot of students out there who are more conservative leaning than they let on, but choose to take the safe road out and not say nothing. As a result of your silence, these other students probably think you are just as liberal as they are. Do you really want to sell out your convictions? Speak up man! People may not agree with you, but they certainly will admire your courage. You might be also be pleasantly surprised to find others voicing agreement once you break the silence.

"It wouldn't matter even if he were remorseful. It's not his emotions we want to kill him for. It's his actions."Quite right. But I somehow doubt he is remorseful. Shoot him first and ask questions later. Much later.

Of course it wouldn't matter, but it remains a bizarre statement by a teacher about a man that officials admit may be dead.

Three people I knew died on Sept. 11th. One was a fireman at the WTC, and two were on Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania.
I don't care how remorseful Osama is. He killed three thousand Americans on Sept. 11th. He deserves no mercy. Let your teacher contemplate how life changed for the families of these three thousand Americans and their friends. Osama be damned.

Lemme get this straight -- I can murder thousands of innocent people in cold blood (including kids!) and all I gotta do is say "I'm sorry" and they won't execute me? What a deal!

"I thought about totally demolishing this guyDon't bother, this "guy" is a wuss and deep down inside he knows it.

My condolences to you and let's all remember BCM (Battalion Chief Moran) and his co-workers who did their jobs for us and paid the price.

a teacher usually demands proof to back up your argument, ask him to provide his proof ( tell him that the democrat underground doesn't count)

Haven't you figured this out yet? If a bit of news is supportive of U.S. goals, policy, the war on terrorism, etc. then it is merely propoganda, if on the otherhand a piece of news some how illustrates that the U.S. is evil, greedy, hegemonistic, etc. then that is the raw truth, regardless of its source, and those who cannot accept it as the truth are either stupid or capitalists and in either case almost certainly voted for that Nazi Bush.
I have seen this on campus many times. These traitorous idiots will glady accept an anti-American news piece from the People's Daily (CCP) for example, but will immediately reject any pro-American piece from a U.S. news outlet (or even those rare pro-American reports from Europe) as clear propoganda. It is ridiculous.
