Loc123, you should never let stuff like this just slide by. I think part of the problem in classrooms today. I think there are a lot of students out there who are more conservative leaning than they let on, but choose to take the safe road out and not say nothing. As a result of your silence, these other students probably think you are just as liberal as they are. Do you really want to sell out your convictions? Speak up man! People may not agree with you, but they certainly will admire your courage. You might be also be pleasantly surprised to find others voicing agreement once you break the silence.

I respectfully disagree. A conservative teacher will let disagreements slide by and judge a student by his work, but a commielib teacher will trash this young student's grades for daring to speak the truth. No. He should remain quiet, get his grades, go to college and suffer the same, then use his power for justice after he graduates. It will do him no good to pick a fight with one who wields ALL the power in the situation. The public schools are nothing but communist reeducation camps. I feel so sorry for the good students that are brainwashed in them. I feel even sorrier for the better students that see the truth and have to keep their mouths shut. But I feel sorriest for the best of all of them, who speak up for the truth and are destroyed by the commielib ba$tard$ of the NEA.

Of course I know that. What I neglected to mention (because it was out of context) is that I am the cheif editorialist for the school newspaper. My articles thus far (not their exact titles BTW): why science encourages religion, the peril of illegal immigration, leftist media bias, and recently why we should attack Iraq.

Plus, as I said in my original posting, I did rebute him--I only did not employ my fullest of vocabulary and passion. And given the situation I was in at the time, I think you can understand my reasoning.
