Jackson/Cochran to shakedown Microsoft for $1B

In an interview with Bill O'Reilly, the author of "Shakedown" said that Johnny Cochran is planning to shakedown Microsoft for $1B. He claims to have heard Cochran say words to that effect at a public speech last year. Cochran has brought together four people who claim to have been discriminated against and is attempting to ratchet this up to a class action suit. The author speculated that Gates is now courting Jackson in hopes that he can reach some kind of out of court settlement with the pair.

Also, videotape was shown of Bill Gates and Jesse Jackson. According to the author, Jesse is using Gates to "get to Silicon Valley." Paraphrasing: "Thus far Silicon Valley has been able to keep Jackson at bay. It looks like Jesse finally has the 'in' he's been looking for.

Interesting news ... I suppose we'll soon find out if the reputation given to Gates and Microsoft for cutthroat competition is justified. Jackson may be a veteran shakedown artist, but I imagine Gates has the resources to destroy him, if he has the will to do so.

When Jesse tried to go after Silicon Valley awhile back, T.J. Rogers, the CEO at Cypress Semiconductors, told Jesse that he will hire qualified minority engineers (and Mr. Rogers, does just that)

One has only to look at the role sheet of an average engineering class in college to know why qualified minority engineers == asian engineers.

Yes they qualify :-)!! Though not to Jesse's standards, but T.J. Rogers has stated, it does not matter what color, as long they are qualified to his demanding standards. Back to the drawing board Jesse!

If something did happen to the Extortionist,would his son give up his elected position( I recently saw the kid being a real smart-mouth to Richard Armitage in some hearings on the Hill, and had to turn the channel he was so offensive in his TONE) and finish his dad's work?I have to pose the question, WHO would take over his 'Racket'?

Why don't we just call it the Jessie Jackson Corporate Lynching Scam - pay Jessie off or he gets his lynch mob fired up to come after your company. Jessie doesn't need any proof, just a few good allegations will do.

Rev. Jackson can't shakedown Gates and Microsoft. He has lost credibility, has been shown for the fake he is. Unless:

1. Rev. Jesse has something on Bill Gates -- maybe he can link Bill to Chandra; has pictures of Bill with minors: something which would lead to a messy divorce.

2. Rev. Jesse has gotten hold of some Microsoft e-mails which could nail the company.

3. Bill Gates is the ultimate nerdy wimp, firghtened of his own shadow.

4. Billy Gates truly likes Rev. Jesse, feels they are soul brothers, wants to help him gain respectability, has been looking for an excuse to divert money to the cause.

IMHO, the first three are highly unlikely. I go with No. 4.

I recall that Rev. Jesse planned with money from Dr. Pepper to have a black or UN-white team with a Un-white owner featured at NASCAR races. I don't know what happened to the plan. Dr. Pepper might well support Rev. Jesse no matter how bad the scandals.

Gates is a Socialist who would gladly cooperate with Jackson as long as the rest of the industry pays the same extortion.

Gates is indeed a bleeding-heart liberal who probably never voted for a Republican in his life. To his credit though, he tried like hell to stay out of the fever swamps of Washington politics. He was rewarded with a political prosecution (persecution) from Clinton/Reno. He's been hauled in, and he isn't getting out.
