Link to daily FR stats...Watch us grow!

I'm not sure how accurate those are any more. JohnRob said he either was going to, or already has, switched to an off-the-shelf traffic analyzing program with the switch to the new beta software, and didn't have any desire to reprogram the colorful weekday-report to sync up with it.

I hope he changes his mind, but in any case, I'm not sure we can take those numbers as gospel any more.

Not sure, seems to reflect the data after the beta switch.

Due to the competition from direct tv, the cable company here did an impressive upgrade...

doubled the channels---finally got Fox---history channel---court tv too!

W/O competition---especially the FR--net...we would be in the black out ages!

Hopefully reno-clinton will be the highwater mark of filthy media sewage flooding and their curds-whey will stay in the treatment--toxic plant where they belong.

There are a few toilets still backing up---state religionists--evolutionaries even on the FR.

Keep my plunger handy!

Boy howdy ..you got that right. 9 hours a week...LOL....more like 15-20 in my case. I go cold turkey when I travel. My wife...a lurker ....does 9 hours a week easy with babies in the house on top of that. Some FReepers I know for a fact sleep by their desktops.

You are right that without Free Republic, living in American could be like living in the dark ages when it comes to knowing reality versus the propaganda lefty spin posing as news.

You posted this and it is hopefully true re what is happening to the high water mark of filthy media sewage flooding:

Hopefully reno-clinton will be the highwater mark of filthy media sewage flooding and their curds-whey will stay in the treatment--toxic plant where they belong.

Just go to Drudge today and see how the pressitutes and major mediots are going broke. Hopefully you are right and very astute that the filthy high water mark happened during the Clintoon years and started to drop when GW was sworn in.

I don't think that the CNN that we all know and hate so much will be around by 2004. If there still is a CNN, it will be like the Bloomberg Channel with a bunch of readers and minimal advertisers. AOL/TIME Warner is bleeding to death, and it is a matter of time before the long knife bean counters at AOL slice and dice CNN.

Jim what you have done here with FR is amazing.

You have given a voice to the "silent majority",a very loud voice at that.

God Bless.

Frankly, I wasn't aware there were other websites out there. Someday, if I can ever tear myself away from Free Republic, I'll check some of those out.

I get withdrawal symptoms when I travel, usually the best thing to do is sneak out to the lobby..tell the wife I'm going to the pool and log on for an hour or so

"I go cold turkey when I travel."

I have my regular desk top. But I didn't want to go anywhere on the week-end and miss FR, so one Christmas, my husband got me a laptop for travel. Now all I need is one that will fit on the wall beside the bed. It has to be at an angle, so that the monitor and keyboard is the same as my head on the pillow! LOL!

"Ranked per average time visitor spent at site." Ie, per visit since a "visit" is the unit of measurement.

So FR logs over 8 hours, per logon or visit. That is a very big number, to me.

From this I reach two conclusions.
1. The bad news is that there is some serious obsession going on, here. Some of you folks are really sick!
2. The good news is, I am not quite as sick as some of you folks. Tell my wife for me.

You are getting old girl! I checked you out!

What do you mean by "old"? I believe we met at the FReepmeet in Seattle two years ago. What did you check? Time since signing up as a FR member? I'm in the dark here!

Our family house at Grandfather Mt is puter-free....it's a blessing actually. Now my aunt lives close by over there and she has an I-Mac which I don't really understand but I can find FR sure enough.
