What is this, if not a "news site"? It's a gossip site, and an editorial site.

Jim, Congrats. And, I know you are not interested in the following at this time, but, just a friendly reminder -- it is precisely this "stickiness" statistic which makes advertisers foam at the mouth. In their view, your site has just been ranked the #1 most de$irable place to advertise on the web. Just a thought to file away..Unfortunately, Jim can't take advantage of this. The entire legal argument FR is making against the scumbags at the Washington Post and LA Times is that this is nothing more than the Internet version of a bunch of people sitting around talking about what they read in the paper that morning ... and obviously it's not illegal to hand your copy of the Washington Post to your buddy in the office and talk about something printed within it. The moment Jim sold a single ad, he'd instead be running a massive copyright violation machine, and FR would be shut down by the courts within weeks.
We'll have to be content with the fact that FR's stickiness does prove that the "mainstream media" isn't coming anywhere close to offering what tthe people actually want.
