James Traficant interview on FOX News
Posted on 04/22/2002 9:10:10 PM PDT by Paul C. Jesup
Hello.
Did anyone besides me tonight see the James Traficant interview on FOX News, On the Record with Greta Van Susteren?
I found the interview to be both insightful and entertaining. It was the best 25 minutes of TV I have seen all day.
It was basically James Traficant unplugged.
If you missed the interview, it will repeat at 3:00 AM Eastern time tonight on Fox News. It is worth watching. Also I look forward to seeing the second part of the interview tomorrow night at 10:00 PM.

It is always James Traficant unplugged! I've never seen him plugged. Greta would start to say something and then think better of it. It turned out to be brilliant. How wrong IS James Trafficant?

It was basically James Traficant unplugged. When exactly has he ever been plugged?
(No cheap hair implant jokes, please. Show some respect. Do NOT call the poor man "Jimmy the Rug.")

Amen. His biggest problem is that he is a small time crook as opposed to most of the big time crooks that are in Congress and he ticked off some of the wrong people because he won't go along to get along. He is probably guilty of most of the things that he is charged with, but you gotta love the guy for getting in their face, doncha?

I'm not even really convinced he is guilty they have tried to frame him before. I don't agree with Traficant on everything I don't agree with his dumb protectionist stuff but he to be lauded for exposing how horribly corrupt our Government is. I think he'll have an "accident" eventually the crooks can't have a man unafraid to expose them running around on the loose.

I think that he is safe from 'Arkancide' because he has been so vocal, but I think he has also been marginalized and his outcries will go unheeded by all except us other 'whackos'. :) But I do believe that he is guilty of something. He must be. He's been in Congress for almost 20 years.

There is great logic there its hard to be in the thieve's guild 20 years without ever stealing anything still I bet it is so minor compared to the average congressman that he should be lauded for integrity in comparison to the rest of them I don't think unlike many congressman he is retiring with over 100 million mysteriously. He will still be a hero in my book. I think his enemies will kill him though when they fail to smear him as bad as they want to.

All I know is that about 8 out of 10 times I'd hear him speak, I'd either yell "right on!" or "the man's got a good point...."
Democrats like that aren't the enemy, in my book.

I know and to those who argue "he voted against impeachment" I'll point out that the Republican party instead of going after anything real Clinton did( like selling defense secrets to China which Traficant wanted to investigate him for) went after him for that stupid sex scandal. During the impeachment I knew almost nothing about Clinton's other misdeeds other than his being a stupid socialist because I had only the mainstream press to listen to. If they did what Traficant wanted we may have actually gotten Clinton.

Traficant's a CRIMINAL. There is no good one. All are threats to FREEDOM. If this weasel can bring some others down with him...great. He has been blowing smoke up everyone's arse for years, but NO RESULTS. He is not a champion of FREEDOM.

Translation, you missed the interview. He may not be as much a criminal as you think. He raised a LOT of good points about his case.
Plus he openly bad mouthed the IRS, FBI and other parts of government.

Saw it and loved it. I have always liked Traficant. I think he makes some very important points. He says what is on his mind and I think that why he's in trouble.
