If the United States is ever going to achieve worldwide equality we must reduce our demands to the level of the rest of the world.

Who the hell wants "worldwide equality"? Forcing any people on the planet to be equal to others is a sick and demented act in direct violation of the Constitution of the United States.

Perhaps those in this country who propose to tell others how they must live should be immediately expelled.

Where is the tag? There is no way this guy can be serious. I was actually laughing out loud when I read it. "Downtrodden masses"..."thousands of years"..."saved the entire state of Alaska from destruction"..."It does not matter if it takes worker four or five hours to get to work and back"...if this guy is serious, he is probably too stupid to figure out how to eat or drink water and will be dead in a few days anyway.

I like this one.

"They have been forced to live in these conditions for thousands of years and its high time the United States made amends for our past transgressions."

I think this teacher needs someone to fill him in. The US has been a country for a little less then "thousands of years". These little detials just keep getting in the way of Liberals.

Better yet,

"Senator Dashle and the Democrats are rapidly gathering strength of numbers for their comprehensive energy plan."

I love that one. I read and watch the news every day. Surly if it were a "comprehesive" energy plan I would know one of their ideas. Can anybody discribe this "comprehensive" energy plan. The author seems to leave out these details...woops, I forgot, details and liberalism don't mix.

Yes, it is clearly satire. The personal education during the five hour commute thing let's the cat out of the bag if nothing else does. I am amazed anyone could possibly think it is not satire. It drips from every word.

So he's thanking the dems for not drilling in Alaska so we buy more oil from third world countries?!?!?!

This guy don't have a linear thought in his head.

The link on the article says, "The end justifies the means". Perhaps someone should remove the engine from the motor vehicle driven by this jerk. It would reduce the drain on the world's oil supplies. I'm sure he won't mind a bit, because "the end justifies the means".

Some quotes from his other columns:

"As I have said in earlier columns we need to spend substantially more money on education if we are going to develop a population that believes the their government will take care of them."

"Where did Bill McBride fall short in his speech? Like I said in my last column we need to strongly encourage smoking by as many young people as possible. By encouraging younger and more smokers we will substantially move forward in what Bill McBride wants to do. More smokers will mean more tax revenue and less individuals to drain resources away in old age care."

"As one very outstanding and understanding national leader once said: "The great masses of people will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one. Especially if it is repeated over and over." For this reason Senator Daschle needs to just continue in his efforts to stonewall the Senate."

"The primary function of our schooling structure is to indoctrinate future workers into a better way of living. If we are to ever reach full equality for all, we must develop a nation of workers that readily do as they are instructed. Great leaders, like Senator Kennedy, Graham (of Florida), Clinton, and Daschle have much superior talents to decide what is best for everyone in this nation."

"Our environmental laws are a perfect example. Allowing a few property owners to use land while our society is punished by their actions goes against the brotherhood of man. We can no longer allow a few individuals to cut down even a single tree while they destroy the habitat of small creatures that future generation will never be able to enjoy."

"Elections are too easily swayed by fast talking individuals like Rush Limbaugh to be left in the hands of the populace. By increasing voter apathy we are slowly getting to where citizens are too indolent to bother to vote. Forward thinking individuals know full well that we can accomplish substantially more, and faster by the use of the courts than by the legislature."

"It has taken our institution over two hundred years to get to where we are today. The only value of an education is to be able to think, and this nation needs to be able to determine who will do the thinking for it. Something as important as the future of this nation and the brotherhood of mankind cannot be left to just anyone. We need to know that the future leaders have been properly indoctrinated into the correct philosophy."

"The primary education system of America needs to be a training ground to create docile workers for a trained labor pool. The current government education system does an outstanding job of deciding the future leaders, by finding those who will not question authority. We train them to be politically correct and not to question authority. These future leaders are taught from the very beginning as to what they should be doing and thinking to make themselves happy. They are taught that conforming to our mold will benefit everyone better than individualism that goes contrary to the common good."

"A good example of how this is being done can be found in our teachers colleges. The better schools of education are working toward eliminating all standards. They fully realize that standards are only used to construct artificial barriers to less fortunate members of our society. Notable educators believe that pointless standards have done much harm to our society. Our future teachers are learning that by eliminating "standards" for everyone our society will learn to feel better about them selves and thereby make for even more harmony in our lives."

"Thanks to our unions our future teachers will learn the joys of full employment with adequate time off to enjoy their lives. By eliminating all standards for teachers we allow for more and more individuals to participate in the pleasures of training of our future workers. By eliminating all standards on students we allow for happier future worker that will strive to do what they are asked. For these reasons we should all say a very hardy "thank you" to our teachers unions. Keep up the good work. Your nation is depending on you."

I haven't checked out much of the rest of the site other than his columns but from what It appears his job (again like Ventura had with the WWF) is to hone in on an issue and figure out the most outrageous angle on it and run. The rest of the columnists and stories aren't consistent with his "opinions." My guess is comic relief through satire.

Machines like gigantic automobiles all consume enormous amount of petroleum products. In an effort to make a more equal society we need to restrict the type and number of automobiles each family is allowed to use. We need to start utilizing our mass transportation system that our local governments have so efficiently constructed. It does not matter if it takes worker four or five hours to get to work and back, because these hours can be very productive in his personal education and extremely satisfying when he thinks that he providing for the better good of his neighbors.

Man, that last paragraph reads like a babelfish translation.

Absolutely!

This guy is about one and one half hanging chads shy of being brilliant.

Makes the libs think about importing oil, when we have some extra in our own backyard.

Clearly not serious as a review of his earlier columns shows. :-)

He's just some guy trying to demonstrate the inherent stupidity of liberals.

It seems there's a large demonstration happening right here, as seen in the gullibility of many of the posters on this thread. And they aren't liberals.

IMHO, that's because it's very badly done satire, not because people here are gullible.

"The people of the Middle East do not have a standard of living that even the poorest of our workers are forced to endure. They have been forced to live in these conditions for thousands of years and it is high time the United States made amends for our past transgressions."

They have been "forced" to live under these conditiond since the beginning of Islam, about 1,300 years ago. The US wasn't around then.

Where does he get the "we" from? The mouse in his shorts?

I sent the following e-mail:

Dear Sir: I read your column. Controlling what people do "because it is good for them," is an old idea.

Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and others have done it.

The results have been horrific: Tens of millions imprisoned or killed "for the greater good."

I'll keep it simple.

Your ideas are moronic and dangerous.

I hope your students are smart enough to see that.

Best regards,

I'm not familiar with this "Professor", but in the preface to his article,
here's what it says........

Dr. Wallace teaches at a very prestigious University. His
mission here is to educate the masses on the failings of
conservatives. He writes in very simple terms what he
teaches to his students in higher learning.

http://www.gulf1.com/COLUMNS/msw/14.htm

It sounds to me like he's serious, actually............
