Can someone explain to me why the Middle East gets so much coverage in the States. I am interested in it a bit from an Old Testament / History of Man point ot view but I find it a bit boring after a while. It seems to me to be all that gets talked about on freerepublic nowadays. Mark Steyn is my favourite and he has written about little else recently.

I was scared to death at the initial Drudge headline. "Oh God, here we go again another Hollywood nutcase" I'm thinking as the article down loads. She is one of my remaining favorites and now I'll have to shun her work too. Worse yet, any lefty rant would have quenched my enthusiasm for 'Clones'.

As for the article she wrote-it's great she stood up against that liberal nit-wit on the idiocy of her statements, but I didn't find much to it than defending Israel's racial make-up? Where was the full-fledged support for Israel defending itself, other issues, etc.?
