The DC Chapter of Free Republic and Rally For America are pleased to announce The Patriots Rally for America to be held in Washington, D.C. on April 20, 2002 at the Washington Monument. The rally will be held on the northwest quadrant of the Washington Monument grounds near the intersection of 17th Street, N.W. and Constitution Avenue, N.W. This rally will be a family-friendly event to show support for America and for the men and women of our Armed Forces. Confirmed speakers include:
We expect confirmation from additional invited speakers shortly. Patriotic and topical music will set the tone of this most extraordinary rally - please plan on attending. Music starts at 10:00 a.m. and the formal rally at 11:00 - expected end time is around 3:00 p.m. The rally will be held rain or shine. We are asking those who attend the rally to bring American flags, large and small, and signs with messages supporting America and our servicemen and women. Please pass the word to your family, friends and co-workers and urge them to attend The Patriots Rally for America on April 20th. This will be a great opportunity to peacefully counter the anti-war rally and march being held the same day in other areas of D.C. by the usual collection of America-hating communist/leftist/anarchist groups. The survival of America is at stake in the war on terrorism. We cannot, and will not, allow the America-hating left to take to the streets unanswered, as happened during the Vietnam conflict. We refuse to let a vocal minority infect our country's morale during this critical time in our nation's history. This war is different in that the front lines drawn by the enemy are on our streets - where we live and work. The Patriots Rally for America will provide an opportunity for all those who love our country to stand up publicly for America and to support our troops as they fight the war on terrorism.
