Is FR now harder to read?

I find FR is more difficult to read because of the spacing between the headline and the teaser.
Am I the minority?
I think it would be easier scanning for just one group of words per topic than two.

I miss the old style.. but am not complaining. The new posts thingie tells me I have replys to me, then when I get there, none are apparent. No complaints because EVERYTIME they change it, I have to relearn the layout... and how to get to the areas I am interested in...

I'd say you are correct.

The name of the magazine or paper publishing the article being quoted should be moved back where it was.

The break-up of the threads should be in batches of 100, not 50. Makes it sound like a chat room. I'd suggest a 60-second delay, as its the super-fast connections that are destroying FR. The monied brats can respond more quickly, which the 50-post max equalizes. But it turns FR into a near chat room. Used to be on a long thread that you had to invest some time into your post in order to see it on the screen. No more.
Therefore, on the longer posts, we still get chit-chat.

I'm managing, but am getting a little confused. I found it easier to follow when the teaser was right under the title.

Apparently you have to dig deep into the "New posts to you" section in order to switch-off the notice flag!
It seems like you have to visit the main topic and the individual reply post in order to satisfy the flag!!

What makes it harder for me to read is the sources (when they are active links) are in blue, the same as the headlines. As I'm scrolling down reading headlines, the blue source names keep distracting me and slowing me down.

Welcome to the computer world.
Software is so easy to change that the temptation is irresistible, especially for marketing types who thrive on chaos.
I commiserate with you but change is accelerating and you ARE in the computer world's turf.
Get over it.

monied brats Is your use of this term an insight to your political leanings? Probably not, but I had to ask.

I changed the fonts (tools/internet options/fonts) to 'arial' for surfing FR. In my particular situation, that provides a great deal of relief (easier to see). That might help until "they" settle on a finalized format. (Until NEXT time, of course.)

Appreciate the tip, & I'll try it. ( Duh! Should'a thunk it myslf! )

When this new format first came in, it was AWFUL. But, the left margin info has been eliminated (making the copy wider), the titles have been shrunk a bit (making them more visually compatible) and the flag on the left is gone...it was nice, but really affected download time for some of us. And, the NewPostsToYou feature is terrific...I now only have to check "self search" when something is there.
The only thing I miss (from a few formats ago) is being able to access the number of people who are logged in to FR!!!

All of that, and I really like the recent font change. For those complaining about its size, and using IE, do a "View => Text Size => Larger.
BTW, am I logged in?
I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist.
