Could you imagine if 'W' made statements like that?
Front page of NYT's and Wash. Post:
"Bush out of touch", "W living in the past". Laughter, derision.
But like Algore before him, he can make any insane statment he likes and it is just business as usual.

First, the home computer was introduced in crude versions 25 yeas ago, not 15. The Internet has been around longer than that.

It should also be noted that we would not have computers as powerful as they are now if congress would have forced the PC industry to make their comuters more "energy efficient" every 4 or 5 years.
