FREE Non Surgical Face Lift in a Bottle! How about you send this e-mail to Arafat's wife. Oh, and Hillary too.
Wouldn't work! Their "ugly" would just be pulled up from their necks and into our faces! I'm having to get mine overhauled enough as it is; I don't need their ugly to ward off too!!

As an old sofware developer and now sometimes web developer, boy do I know what you are going through. I love the new clean look, but know it will take me a few days to totally embrace it.
You have done a spectacular job.

My feeling: the new format will take some getting used to. But five years from now, there will be "old timers" bragging about how they "survived" the Format of March 30, 2002!I like the new format, and I like the changes that have been implemented as the day wore on as well! Maybe we can get T-shirts made up?! Revenue-raiser?! *G*

Thanks for all your efforts to keep improving Free Republic! Most people dislike change in any form....but they will adjust....and probably like the 'new look' after a little practice!

For the record, I like the new look but I'm used to changes. I don't know where everything is yet, but I'll find what I need. It's like when Kroger has an addition tacked on, and all the grocery aisles get pulled and rearranged. Everything you need is still there; you just have to be a bit more alert to find it! *G*

Although I was temporarily in sticker shock when I woke up to a new format - but now that I have used it for a few hours today, I really like it. I'm glad you made the changes.

Here's a face lift in a tube (true!) you can recommend to those who complain... ;-)
Keep up the good work!

I like the new look. It took a little getting use to. I like it even better with the BIGGER FONT size, for my poor old eyes. Finally figured out how to get to "home state profile" page.

Thanks for the flag Ron. I was out for a while.

I'm one of the people who was complaining mightily. I couldn't read the screen.
So, I want to be one of the people who thanks you mightily for fixing it so fast!
Now that I can read the screen and navigate, I think it's fine. I might even love it after I get through tweaking.
To: Jim Robinson
Now that I have set up my preferences, I am starting to like the new look a lot better.
I have turned off my locale comments which helped.
Breaking news has more articles listed on the right - good!
Poll question has been moved - good!
It is still kind of slow at times even with cable but maybe that will change.
I also like the way that articles that have been read, change color in the listing.
I'm thinking that possibly bolding the headlines on the right may make them more readable? Not sure, but you could try to see how it looked.
I'm retracting my previous complaints - sorry, I'm not so good with changes.
Thanks for all your hard work and for being willing to work with everyone to streamline the setup.

A little patient humor or some humorous patients would be nice, I agree! :O) You bet!

Yeah hemmeroid cream will help my WebTV unit ... NOT.
The new format is incompatable with web users. Telling us to " go buy a real computer ", isn't the answer ; neither is calling us whiners. A person can't " get used to " the format, when it doesn't work / work well.
I'd really like to hear the reactions , if this new and UMIMPROVED mess wouldn't allow earthlink and AOL ISP users to use most of the functions, had their computers crash more than 1/2 the times they tried to get back to a thread, after posting a reply / going to another thread, and cut the top 1/2 of the screen off.
