Dubya knowingly signed an Unconstitutional bill today.
Since he seems determined to slap his base around like a crack whore whenever he takes a mind to, I propose an index to keep all this in perspective.
Please index UnConstitutional, UnConservative or moves Counter to his campaign platform with *Bush_Cave_List So we can keep an itemized list handy for 2004.
Then searching with keywords:
to: *Bush_Cave_List
In the search window will bring them all up.
No attempt to prosecute Clinton crimes
EO to keep Clinton documents from release
No congressional declaration of war
MFN status to China
Back dues paid to the UN
Airline bailout
Patriot Act
Office of Homeland Security
Payoffs to families of victims of 9-11
Federalization of airport security
Education bill and lovefest with Ted "The Swimmer"
Shadow government (who are these people? did we elect them?)
Volunteer corps
Amnesty for illegals???
Did I forget any?
I reluctantly hope that one day your candidate will be elected president, just to see how much better he or she will do as the leader of the best Country on Earth.
Summary of the FEC Complaint Against Zach Exley (gwbush.com parody web site proceeding)
When the FEC wouldn't bow to his wishes, he said the following at a press conference at the Texas State House on May 21, 1999:
"There ought to be limits to freedom!"
--George W Bush

What is this? Are conservatives not allowed to question the party leadership when the leadership is clearly not sticking to a conservative party line?
I should have addressed my comments to any Republicans Bashing Bush. Those who are whining about revoking their membership and not voting for him again.
Those are the ones who need to just join the Constitution Party, have "Loser" stamped on their heads and get it over with.
You are correct...Of course "Conservatives" have a right to be upset. Hell, they're all pissed all the time anyway...Won't make much of a difference.
Personally, I think signing CFR was a stroke of genius. It SCREWS the DemocRATs in SO MANY ways! And what does hurt Republicans, will be stricken-down as Unconstitutional (If it really is).
I see no downside to President Bush's signing of CFR. Except for having to listen to the cry-babies that is...
Actually I'm quite devastated at what kind of "conservative" Bush is turning out to be.
The difference is that with a Democrat you have the "conservatives" howling about how terrible it is that our country and its freedoms are being destroyed, and with a Republican they think it's OK that our country and its freedoms are being destroyed.
Yep, in What's Left of America you're definitely a loser if you believe in silly things like limiting the government to its Constitutional authority and traditional morality, which are the two things the party you're denegrating essentially believe in.
People like you are precisely why we're going to get what's coming to this country. I hope you enjoy your stay in the Gulag for having once posted on that extremist website known as Free Republic.
Welcome. I left them several years ago.
By giving them exactly what they want? Yep, Bush certainly did put the screws to those dems. ROFL. < /sarcasm >
Hard to imagine what it would take for you to stop voting for him if the repeal of the first amendment doesn't do it.
Anyone who spends as much time as we do on this forum has too much time on his hands.
Speak for yourself, please.
Perhaps, the Democrats did actually win the 2000 Election.
Please tell me that was sarcasm.
