I admit it, I loved Moulin Rouge.
Nicole Kidman should win Best Actress and I am hoping the politically correct crowd splits the vote between Halle and Sissy Spacek (even though she is a Libertarian)
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
see above...the designer is escada.

I too liked Tom Wilkinson in In the Bedroom and am hoping if Denzil and Russell split the vote, he sneaks in, though probably that idiot Sean Penn will.

I finally got hubby to watch with me the other nite. He liked it but said it was "Titanic-y". I said, "Huh?"
Be right back hubby needs something, groan!
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
Actually, I am operating on inside information.
Cindy Adams was on the plane with Joan and she said it would be Escada or Vera Wang, looks like Escada.

Oh my gosh!! Who is the boobless skeleton in the red dress in photo number 1?
To: codebreaker
It was a good movie. I think it should win because there was real acting, singing and dancing and get sets and costumes. What else does one need for a movie?! ;-)

I bought "Moulin Rouge" on pay per view. 5 minutes into it, I was thinking, "What the heck did I just do"???? Ugh!! But by the end, it had become my new all time most favorite movie. We bought it again to watch last night. We even went out and bought the sound track.
I hope Nicole wins.
To: codebreaker
Ok, I can see how it's an Escada, it didn't look like a Wang.

Just how Moulin Rouge turns the movie musical on its head with it's Bollywood Indian filmaking style, I think it might be a challanger to Beautiful Mind.
Loved Ron Howard and I think he will win Best Director..
I am watching Moulin Rouge as I type this, so far the best thing is Kidman as a redhead.

Thank you for your Moulin Rouge review. I also heard that the first 20 minutes are wretched but the rest of the movie is just outstanding. To me it looks like pure eye candy.

You forgot the caption: 'The Undertaker and Her Apprentice'

is this costume jewelry from her QVC collection or the real thing?
To: daisyscarlett
Thanks Daisy, I knew that you would be on top of things. I just love Joan's dress. What a gorgeous fantasy gown.

She looks just like mom............

If there was a serious challanger to Beautful Mind to split the vote, I think Moulin Rouge would win-but alas Hollywood wants to 'feel important' and Opie Cunningham's film will take the top prize.
I also like Jennifer Connelly and Gay Sir Ian in the Supporting categories..Lord of the Rings will be thrown a bone.
