fair-shinned and fair-skinned
To: strela
WOOHOOOO!!!!!! Ron Howard!!!!!!! A Howard wins!!!! hehehe He makes some of the best pictures in Hollywood IMHO.
To: Ganymede
I agree...I'm happy for both of them...a momentous night. I just tuned in to this thread, so I'm sure this has been said, but: Robert Redford's had some face work done, and it's not bad. Silas from Survivor was on stage next to J-Lo. Portier's speech had me crying. I'm glad for Ron Howard. Julia Roberts is insufferable. Tom Cruise is insufferable. Barbra Streisand is insufferable.
To: TexasNative2000
Thankfully I didn't include this award in my predictions. Hehehe. Still pulling for LotR.
To: TexasNative2000
I think this may be good news for those of us pulling for a LOTR best picture nod, they usually don't get both.

Despite what I think are his lib politics (although I don't think he is obnoxious with them), Ron Howard seems like a genuinely good guy.
To: GreatOne
Think you read my post wrong....I was the one who stated the award should go for talent not the color of your skin,.
I think Halle Berry is talented but I didn't care for Valerie's contention that race should have something to do with it
To: Utah Girl
"I like Halle Berry. I don't like that she dragged race into her win." BINGO!
To: contessa machiaveli
Does she still have those really big thumbs?
To: dougherty
well Crowe didn't do that usual smiling I am happy just to be nominated look that you often get when one finds out that one just lost the oscar...he didn't look very happy

To: mafree
I might as well make you madder by saying that as a Black woman I am very proud of Halle and always have been. I have two Black parents and she has one, but I consider her no less Black than I am. Well I have two White parents and she has one, but I consider her no less White than I am.
And I am very proud of her Halle too!
I cried through her whole acceptance speech...(sob)
