How's the joke go? The Marines have "A Few Good Men", the Navy has "Top Gun" and the Army has Pauly Shore.

I waited to see Moulin Rouge when it came to my university's movie theater. I still don't know what to think of it. I didn't like the beginning, but I started liking it towards the end. I guess I'll have to catch it again when a friend of mine rents it.

We're not actually talking about the Oscars. We are all part of the shadow government and our code language happens to highly involve Hollywood and the Oscars so the liberals won't notice what we are doing.

That's Gwyneth Paltrow? Oh my, I saw her in one of the pictures earlier this evening, but didn't know who it was. She forgot her undergarments and got into her mommy's eyeliner to boot. Yikes.

The ridiculous thing is you should go out to Beverly Hills and Westwood....see how many African Americans you see. Not many.

I was in Vermont last year (Jim "holier-than-thou" Jeffords territory) and I didn't see a single black person in 3 whole days. Funny how these libs are so PC, but they all seem to live in the lily white places.

If you want to have a whizzing contest, or see who's is bigger - go out behind the barn...quit fouling this thread with your personal crap. Enough already.

Yeah, we wouldn't want to besmirch the dignity of an Oscar thread! /sarcasm

If Nicole Kidman wins Best Actress and thanks L. Ron Hubbard for making her what she is today, I'll put a bullet in my head, I will.

We have fun! We enjoy the fashions, the personalities, etc.....especially when they make fools out of themselves. It's not about trying to change the world tonight, it's just about having some fun.

Val, at least your first sentence I agree to. :-))

Growing up in the 40's and 50's in the deep south taught me about the society's struggles that God chooses for us to fight. And he won.

Now, Whoopi's covering Oscars girth---that is funnneeeeee.

I hate to say this but my wife and daughter actually liked Moulin Rouge.

I hope that Mrs. DFU uses headphones while playing the soundtrack. Kidman's singing was awful. The arrangements were awful. Has your daughter and wife seriously studied Hollywood's classic musicals? Moulin Rouge was neither original (look how they recycled old tunes) or entertaining, IMHO. I'd rather watch Barbara Streisand in Hello Dolly or Funny Girl than Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge. Argggh.
