I would pay real money to know the significance of the cow being led in the scene near the end of the picture.

Thank goodness that I am not the only one who walked out of Moulin Rouge. The MTV-style re-hash of old songs was lame, IMHO. You'd think that they could have paid someone to write some original songs, but they go and butcher Broadway/Hollywood classics like "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" and give the music a disco beat. I guess people were starved for any musical to come out of Hollywood and the producers were afraid that twenty-somethings wouldn't know any better. I must admit that some of the visuals were interesting--but, oh, that silly plotline!!!

To each his own...

With so many SP films to choose from, I will never forget The Asphalt Jungle, where (for me), it all began for him on the big screen.

Moulin Rouge is best described as a watery turd.

What an exquisite visual you've given all of us tonight. Thanks.

Two classic lines of Freeper prose. Who needs Hollywood. I get a million more laughs on FreeRepublic.

George Will tells me there is a remake or redo or whatever of Oklahoma coming out.

Oh no....Christians gun owners cheating Native Americans with a backdrop of gay dancers (well they were probably gay in the original too but they didn't make a point of it).

Oh good grief - the world is a better place because people put Sidney in the movies. I'm not that big of a fan.

Whenever it's on cable, I watch it. Alice Walker is one of my favorite authors, and I thought all the performances in the movie were outstanding.

Look you repugnant little Texas A&M wannabe, keep the insolent behavior to yourself. You're no Aggie, and you're no gentleman. I think I'll take to referring to you as "teasip" - if I ever have the future displeasure of referring to you at all.

You're forgetting Whoopi's fine work as the center square on Hollywood Squares -- truly a masterpiece of comedy and drama

I was waiting to see a clip of that famous black comedian actor Dudley Dickerson who was in so many classic Three Stooges shorts of the 1940's.. He transcended the racial sterotype common to the day by demontrating a sense of comic timing. His instinct for allowing tension to hang just so long before relieving it with a trademark double take stamps him as an immortal in the slapstick genre.. (Also..Dudey Dickerson's classic battle in the kitchen in the Stooge short 'A Plumbing We will Go' is a classic)
