You're forgetting Whoopi's fine work as the center square on Hollywood Squares -- truly a masterpiece of comedy and drama!

Sorry about the double post; I think that's a first for me. My proxy (Proxomitron) barfed.
To: strela
I have just about worn out the soundtrack to "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" Now THERE'S the injustice of this years Oscars. It wasn't even nominated.
To: vikingchick
LOL, Leif will do. Any grapes down your way?
To: Hank Rearden
Moulin Rouge is best described as a watery turd. I lasted all of 45 minutes before walking out of the theater. I've only done that three times in my life and I average a movie a week in theaters.I came very close to doing the same thing at about the same point. I hung in there a little longer and actually enjoyed the last hour. They had a tango dance scene that was quite spectacular. If you can relax and enjoy the music, dance and photography, it's really not bad. But it has about the worst story line I've ever seen.

Moulin Rouge is best described as a watery turd. What an exquisite visual you've given all of us tonight. Thanks.
To: strela
I did not expect to like the movie O Brother Where Art Thou, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was fun (my girlfriends and I DRANK a LOT during that movie, but I'm pretty sure it was almost as funny as we were)

Portier really is a great actor, saw To sir with love the other day.
To: LenS
Do you think in 30 years they'll be doing a pretentious tribute to "Whoopi Goldberg and her fine portfolio of film?" Thank you Whoopie Thank you Whoopie Thank you Whoopie Thank you.
To: Pyro7480
With this award, do you think they may give an Oscar to Denzel or Will Smith?
To: Hank Rearden
Haven't seen MR, but have walked out of another Nicole Kidman movie: To Die For. Trash. AND it got an award.
To: TexasNative2000
They had to make room for "Bored of the Rings." (/sarcasm)
To: ValerieUSA
SP: He has truly been a great man among men. I salute him too.
To: Texaggie79
That wasn't very nice. Dragging small children into your jealousy. Shame upon you!
To: ValerieUSA
Sydney Portier....has there been a more dignified actor since he left the stage? I don't think so.
Denzell Washington does look mighty dignified in that tux, though.
To: strela
No, you definitely can't find that music style on the radio in most places and times. That may explain why it's sold so many copies and bounced back to #1 on the pop album chart last week despite being out for more than a year -- fans just can't hear it unless they buy the CD.

I believe Lillies of the Field was his finest film yet.
To: LenS
and let's not forget her stint with the Defunct Flooz business

I don't think I've heard Potier's political opinions. He always seemed like a class act.
Did he just say things have changed? Hey, the NAACP doesn't want to hear that.
