Gee--I guess the "He really WANTED to surrender but he was afraid the Taliban would kill him so he couldn't" trial balloon didn't go over so well...I think we've heard 5 or 6 different stories about "poor Johnny" already:

• He was delirious because he was injured, sick and on drugs
• Johnny LOVES America
• He's only a "boy", complete with photos of "cute little Johnny"
• He didn't know anything about Sept. 11th, and didn't know he was fighting American troops
• (the above-mentioned) -- afraid of the Taliban story

This latest one is a real kicker -- the bleeding hearts will LOVE it !!

Well gee, if his lawyers say he said it happened then it must have happened. They wouldn't lie about a thing like that, would they?

Let's see, the main evidence they have against him is his confession. If his lawyers can keep his confession out, he will probably walk. If his confession comes in, he fries.
