Let's Look at the Record
Right now

I'm thinking of a politician.

This politician has proposed $5 billion in new aid for so-called "developing countries."

he has supported tarrifs for steel.

He has indicated support for McCain's campaign finance deform act.

He supported the so-called stimulus package, which was nothing buyt massive new spending.

He supported a massive new (unconstitutional) Federal education bill, and it didn't even have vouchers or any school choice provisions but allows the Federal government to picke "good" and "bad" schools.

He has supported a Palestinian state.

He criticized Israel for its response to terrorist attacks.

He sent a letter to China after our plane was shot down and China interpreted it as an apology.

During his campaign, he pledged support for a renamed version of Affirmative Action.

He said he would have voted for a gun-control bill that Congress defeated a couple of years ago.

He chastised his predecessor for not getting China into WTO fast enough.

He supported U.S. involvement in Kosovo.

He ripped conservatives for having a "disdain for government."

He ripped social conservatives for presenting "an image of America slouching toward Gomorrah."

He blasted efforts by Republicans in Congress to stretch out the earned income tax credit to a monthly instead of an annual payuout as 'balancing the budget on the backs of the poor."

Would you call this politician conservative or liberal?

Of course, I'm talking about President Bush. So much for the notion that he is going to do anything to advance conservative principles.

If or once he signs CFR, I will be with you...until then, I am getting tired of seeing this filth on FR.

Since you only included CFR in YOUR list, does that mean you support Illegal Alien Amnesty, too?
To: TBP
That's it! I'm votin' fer the Little General next time around.
To: TBP
Ok, you win: President Bush is a closet leftist, a sellout, a disgrace to humanity. Frankly, he should just to the right thing and kill himself right now.
But first, the President, being the gent that he is, should turn the country over to Al Gore...or Hillary Clinton...or Barney Frank...or Maxine Waters...or Jesse Jackson...or Paul Begala....or James Carville...or Pat Buchanan (the Harold Stassen of the chattering classes).
Then, and only then, will true vindication be at hand. ;-)

It is not blanket amnesty that he is supporting. But I don't like any amnesty (except for a guest worker program). So no, I am not thrilled. But, it is not the end of the world either.
To: rwfromkansas
So you think the truth is filth. God help us.

What amkes a lot of this worse is he doesn't even get something for it. The amnesty would be a bad idea in any case, but couldn't he at least have told Vicente Fox, we gave you your amnesty, now give us some oil? A barrel for each illegal Mexican.

Compromise is one thing, if it moves things in our direction. But this gives the liberals 75 percent of whqt they want and gives us nothing much in return.
