Jones announced yesterday that he will seek the 7th District Congressional seat held by first-term Republican Eric Cantor.

"I am going to do it," Jones said, "I will make a formal announcement in a couple of weeks".

Jones, who will run as a Democrat in a predominantly Republican district, is given little chance of unseating Cantor by U.Va. political analyst Larry Sabato.

This story not available on-line. I have entered the first 4 paragraphs by hand.

Cooter is a nice guy, he has a little nick-nack shop just down the road from me in Sperryville, but Eric Cantor is a top notch rep (and a Republican). We need to keep Eric in office and Cooter with the General Lee

He is a democrat...could care less if he saved an orphanage from burning. He loses by just having the (D) connected to his name.

"He is a democrat...could care less if he saved an orphanage from burning. "

Don't have to worry about that ever happening. The dems erased orphanages from the American landscape via abortion-on-demand and generous subsidies for single mothers. The result is that American couples who want to adopt a child now have to go through the graft ridden and corrupt baby mills of Asia, Eastern Europe, and Russia.

Didn't he get redrawn out of his district and have to run against Newt? Oh well, at least he was right about impeaching Clinton.
